The Avid Mojo DX with Avid Media Composer 5 Trade-Up allows you to upgrade your existing Avid Adrenaline, Liquid Chrome, and Liquid Blue hardware to the Avid Mojo DX with Avid Media Composer 5. Seamless integration of the media composer software, with Mojo DX video hardware, provides a high-bandwidth effects engine that offers high performance irrespective of formats and codecs used.
Transcoding is eliminated via scaling of images to HD frame size, thus allowing you to directly access and edit RED files through AMA (Avid Media Access). A re-engineered AMA feature allows you to work with more file-based media formats. Accelerated RED workflow processing is enabled by offering direct access to RED files in Media Composer. You can also access complete color management data and metadata for RED files.
Multiple steps such as transcoding, rewrapping, logging, or transferring are eliminated, and you can access and edit all files compatible with Apple QuickTime Player including Apple ProRes and .mov files captured through Canon 5D and 7D cameras. Drag and drop support is enabled for all files allowing you to manipulate sequences by inserting clips anywhere on the timeline. Trimming of scenes, dialog, and music is also possible via altering the clip’s in or out time.
You can confine the entire finishing process in-house via support for full-quality 4:4:4 HD-RGB color space processing in Media Composer. You can undertake color correction, keying, and effects tasks via the high resolution detail support.
AVCHD files can be directly imported from cameras and other devices along with support for capture and editing of XDCAM HD and DVC PRO HD formats from baseband. Full-quality audio support is also provided while accessing low resolution XDCAM proxies for offline work. You can import SMPTR-436M compliant MXF files that contain ancillary data and integrate them into the video track. Support is also offered for RTAS audio processing plug-ins.
