The Aviom DS32 32 x 16 Digital Snake System provides 32 microphone/line inputs and 16 line-level returns for digital mixing. Each input channel on the Aviom AN-16/i-M Mic Input Module contains a 3-segment level meter, a continuously variable gain knob, a phase reverse switch, 48V phantom power, and a rumble filter with an 85 Hz roll-off.

All audio data travels over 1 CAT5e cable to up to 500’ (150m) between stage and the front of house (FOH) by using the included Aviom AN-16SBR System Bridge. The I/O (Input/Output) devices connect to the System Bridge at each end of the digital snake and then a single CAT5e cable can be used for the main run from the FOH position to stage.

Returns are handled by an Aviom AN-16/i v.2 Input Module at FOH and an Aviom AN-16/o v.4 Output Module on stage.

The 16 balanced outputs on the AN-16/o v.4 Output Module are provided via DB25 multi-pin connectors. The analog outputs can be set (per channel pair) to +24 dBu, +18 dBu, +4 dBu, or microphone level. In all, three output modules are included: two for outputs from the stage into the console and one used for outputs on the stage into signal processing and/or monitor feeds.
