The Canon EOS Rebel T3 18-55mm IS II Kit puts the popular Rebel, along with an 18-55mm EF-S lens, in your hands. You'll be shooting from day one with this value-minded kit - going beyond what your point-and-shoot allows, making your creative ideas a reality. Just remember to first charge the included lithium-ion battery and pop in an SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card and you'll be ready to roll. What's more, the T3 can be used with all Canon EF and EF-S lenses - expanding your options throughout the line-up.
The T3 has a 12.2MP CMOS (APS-C) sensor and Canon's DIGIC 4 image processor - providing you with high quality JPEG and RAW images. Features like 100-6400 ISO, the 9 point AF system, and the 63 zone dual layer metering system help to capture detailed and lush images in any situation. Of course the 2.7" LCD doesn't hurt either - infact, the LCD provides a brillant display on which to compose and relive your shots. The camera also has a viewfinder for more precise image making.
In addition to taking great photographs the T3 also records great movies! The camera captures 1280 x 720/30p/25p video. Add videos to your Facebook or work on your HD DSLR video short, whatever your goal, this is definitely one tool that's expected on most DSLR cameras these days.
The T3 also features a number of shooting controls designed to make using the camera hassle-free. Functions like Basic+, Quick Setting, and Creative Auto all work to take the guesswork out of photography. Additionally, Quick Control and the feature guide make operation of the camera and its function a no-brainer.
Live View Function
Live View Function enables you to view your subjects directly on the huge 2.7" LCD monitor. It's easy to magnify any part of the scene 5x or 10x for precise manual focus. And now, there are two ways to use Autofocus along with Live View Function in the EOS Rebel T3. You can even choose a grid overlay, perfect for keeping straight lines in your subject straight in your pictures. In the studio, Live View Function can be used remotely via a computer through the EOS Rebel T3 DSLR's USB connection
Shoot by ambience selection:
Based on the picture style and its parameters (sharpness, contrast, saturation, and color tone), the exposure compensation and white balance correction are adjusted to attain the selected ambience. You can also select the strength of the ambience effect
Shoot by lighting or scene type:
Although the actual parameter set is the white balance, the settings are expressed in more understandable terms
The EOS Rebel T3 DSLR's Quick Control screen gives you instant access to the most common settings, all in one place! It's a great way to quickly confirm or change settings while you're shooting. The Quick Control screen is particularly useful when you're shooting from a tripod or monopod, with the camera at eye level, because it eliminates the need to view the LCD data panel on top of the camera while changing settings
For beginners looking to expand their photographic horizons, the EOS Rebel T3 offers Creative Auto mode. While basic settings are based on full automatic operation, shooting guides on the LCD screen enable you to make corrections based on simple to follow guidelines. In essence, with Creative Auto mode, you can learn about photography while taking stunning photographs
Additionally, the EOS Rebel T3 is compatible with Eye-Fi SD cards, which are outfitted with a Wi-Fi transmitter (IEEE 802.11b/g) and internal antenna for wireless, high-speed transfer of images. With an Eye-Fi card installed, the EOS Rebel T3 can display the Eye-Fi's connection status and error notes with ease, for fully functional wireless uploading of images directly from the camera

Used the camera for about 3 weeks until it 'froze' on me. i.e. it would not take any more photos or even turn on or off unless I removed the battery. Very happy with B & H who replaced the camera with a new one without any hassles. Happy so far with the replacement. Looking forward to many years of taking photos.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital Camera and 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit:
Being new to using a DSLR camera it is great because it explains what what settings are being changed on the non programable "dummy Setting modes" (IE; great for me, point and shoot) but at the same time it teaches you what is changing so that you are learning what is going on as you progress to the full manual mode. This lens and camera have taken great images so far and for the price it is a great intro camera if you are interested in taking that next step from point and shoot to a more artistic experience!

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital Camera and 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit:
Bought refurbished at a fraction of the usual price, and it looks completely brand new! Easy to use for someone like me- former point-and-shoot camera user. I'd done all I could with my trusty point-and-shoot, and I wanted to be able to better customize the settings based on what I was shooting, lighting conditions, etc. Great image quality, and lightweight enough because of the plastic body. Now I'm going to start collecting lenses!

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital Camera and 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit:
I got the camara for my photography classes and I think the camara is awesome for as much as I can use it. To me it is very high tech so its a learning process. But the pictures I did take are very clear. I am going to love experimenting and finding new ways to take pictures. And my new wonderful camara is going to make it all possible. I really don't have anything negitive to say about my Rebal.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital Camera and 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit:
Dear sirs,
On 05/08/2012 I bought the following equipment:
EOS Rebel T3 Digital Camera and 18-55mm IS Lens Kit II
Extreme 16GB SDHC Memory Card Class 10
On the same day I tried my new acquisition.
I photographed a few points that make up the landscape of New York City and the result was very good.
The investment made in acquiring the camera produced quality images and offers superior features when compared to cameras of the same value, produces movies in HD and comes packed with features for beginners in the world of photography like me.
Below I highlight what I liked most of the equipment:
• Live View available with three focus modes: Quick, Live and Face Detection
• Various resources for less experienced photographers, such as built-in help guide and Creative Auto mode that facilitates the use of machinery to ensure the attainment of good pictures
• Wide range of compensated exposure (EV), ranging from -5 to +5
• Canon Rebel T3 produces HD video. Limit: up to 17 minutes (4 GB) for uninterrupted video.
• Takes approximately 700 shots per battery charge with the LCD off.

Comments about Canon EOS Rebel T3 Digital Camera and 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit:
I didn't want to spend too much money since this was my first DSLR. This was the least expensive one in the store when I bought it last year but it's user friendly for beginners (especially if you've used a Canon before), photos look amazing, and it's not too heavy so it's portable. In low light though, pictures come out a little blurry and the flash on the body doesn't help much so I hardly ever use it.

I have had my Rebel T3 for a couple of weeks now, and I absolutely love it! It's my first DSLR camera, and it is very user friendly. The lens kit it comes with isn't the greatest, but that's an easy fix with an upgrade.
