I bought this camera primarily to shoot small objects to sell on an online auction. This camera has a macro feature, and together with 14MP it takes great shots. I've also taken portraits and landscapes with great results. I set the exposure compensation to -2/3 of a stop and I get really good results. I leave this setting on all the time, even when using flash and fill flash. It fits perfectly in my pocket and is always with me where ever I go. The auto focus assist light helps to get those great shots in low light. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase, and @ [$] from B&H how could I go wrong?

I purchased this camera to replace an L22 that we had for a couple of years. The pros are the camera is compact. Cons: Camera goes through batteries much too quickly; 60% of pictures taken with this camera have been deleted because they are out of focus. Worst camera I have ever owned.

I have been use to full size cameras and needed a small camera to carry on the bike. This one fits right into a shirt pocket, takes nice enough shots if you don't plan on blowing them up to poster size. I wouldn't count on it for my main camera though.

I bought it as a gift for some one and the receiver is very happy with it. He says it is easy to use, with great image quality and very good for taking photos inside as it will take photos without the flash.

I received this camera for Christmas as a little camera to have in a bag at work. It takes quite possible the worst pictures I have ever seen. The are grainy and out of focus. This includes not only far away but up close.

I love the camera in general, BUT overall it is a complete winner when it comes to picture quality at a consumer price. I love the fact that it is AA batteries, so I can use rechargeables easily

Comments about Nikon Coolpix L24 Digital Camera (Black):
I have never used a Nikon I wouldn't recommend till the L24. I bought it to carry bird hunting with me in my vest. Less than a month and the screen broke. though it was just a one time thing so took it back and got another. Just over a month and it happened again.
The camera took some really nice photo's but got some pretty bad ones also. And, I'm used to a DSLR and this L24 was unbleveably slow lag time.

I bought this camera for my daughter after her last one broke. For the price, this is an excellent camera for young people who really just want to photo everything. Very user friendly and was even easy to transfer pics to her computer. I recommend this highly.

If you're looking for a small, compact, simple to use point-n-shoot digital camera, this one is for you. The instructions manual is actually well written. The ease of two AA batteries is what sold me on this one. Image quality is quite good. What else would one expect from a Nikon, though?

Comments about Nikon Coolpix L24 Digital Camera (Black):
Overall it's a good camera. Pictures come out clear once you learn what its quirks are. Easy auto works fairly well, but there's no force-flash option. You get either auto or none. So far, I've found you have to go to one of the scene modes (party/indoor) to force flash.
Also, the buttons are less responsive than other Nikons I've used in the past. Not a huge deal, but it makes for a steeper learning curve.
The fact that it uses AA batteries is a huge plus. I prefer using rechargeables, but I love knowing I can get short-term replacement batteries anywhere for practically nothing if I forget to keep them charged.

This camera is so easy to use it is amazing..I got it and right out of the box I was taking pictures and posting them on my Facebook account, printing them with my home printer. It plugs right into everything I need it to...With the controls on the back being so big and easy to use this is the best camera I have ever owned..and the video quality is awesome.
