Disclaimer: I am *NOT* a high-end videophile. I was looking for a decent backlit LED TV with mid-range features. I read a lot of reviews before choosing this model (especially the CNET reviews) so I went into this purchase with my eyes wide open.
I am very impressed with this TV and I have yet to see full 1080p because my Blu-ray player hasn't arrived yet. :) But the 1080i content that my cable provider (Time Warner) has is *REALLY* good.
The set was a snap to setup. The built-in apps are okay, but internet apps were not my main motivation for getting this TV.
I very good TV that was exactly what I was looking for.

Tv works great but after about three months the sound quality started to get REALLY poor. Come to find out the sound card was going out so Toshiba sent out a service tech to fix it and when they did the new sound card shorted out my picture and the tech told me that this was a main problem with Toshiba tv's and now i have been waiting 3 months for them to make up there minds if they are going to fix my tv or send me a new one and everytime i call( every two days) they tell me that they will call me back that day or the next and i NEVER get a call back. So other then that good tv just the sound card goes out then it blows the picture out( tech said it was a BIG problem with their tv's) and their costumer service TERRIBLE

This was my first smart TV purchase and so far so good. As other reviewers commented, the TV required some setting adjustments to the picture in order to improve the color contrast, but once complete it has a great picture in HD. Also connecting with to the wireless router is a little complicated (setup guide not quite the same as on screen commands.. not much help available), but once it was done it works like a charm.

seems to be a good tv so far...manual is lacking in direction and explanation...guess toshiba figures everything is intuitive but thats not true for the 60+ generation... wish there was an internet browswer included with net tv....maybe there is but i cant find it...perhaps that is something they could download into the tv in the near future with a software upgrade?
