I purchased this converter when I purchased an E-PL2 two lens kit. I did not have budget to buy the Oly 9-18mm wide zoom at the same time, so I thought I would try this converter as I wanted something wider than the lit lens.
The resolution is good, but it suffers from flare when a strong light source hits the lens at just the right angle. This is common for an add-on converter. One must be careful when there are strong light sources or the sun off to the side.
At the end of the day, it is a very useful and convenient accessory - and it attaches quickly via the bayonet adapter on the lens. I will still buy the wide zoom when I can afford it.

Comments about Olympus WCON-P01 Wide Converter:
This wide convertor gives your 14-42mm kit lens that little bit extra viewing angle without a fisheye distortion.
As I said in my fisheye convertor review, if you're after a light camera bag setup, this convertor, as well as the fisheye and macro convertors, stack well into a single lens spot in your camera bag and give your 14-42mm lens some added versatility

Easy to use converter. Snaps on to the bayonet mount and stays on securely.

I was in need of a wide-angle lense but didn't want to spend $300. I sell residential real estate and the WCON-P01 works great for shooting small rooms like bathrooms and closets. It's also great for shooting exterior pictures up close capturing the details of the home.

I used this converter to take landscaping photos, and the quality of the image is surprisingly good! Minimal distortion means this is not a combination of few pieces of cheap glass, it worth the money!

Good lens converter for the price. You can spend a lot more to get a dedicated wide angle lens of better quality, but this is a great compromise.

This converter stays always on my M.Zuiko 12-42mm. It works as I expected and get great pictures. The front cap of this converter could be a little bit tight but better than lose.
I would recommend to my friends.

Comments about Olympus WCON-P01 Wide Converter:
This converter changes the effective FOV from 28mm (35mm equivalent)
to about 22mm (35mm equivalent) I use it for group shots and travel where
the extra FOV really helps to get more in your picture. If you cannot afford the 9-18mm expensive option then this is good choice. AVOID other converters as they are not of the same quality.
Images remain sharp in the corners and there is no difference in light transmission with or without the converter. It serves its purpose well for me.

It's a simple and easy way to have that extra wide view without having to have an extra lens. I take it with my ep3 on my ride to work each day.
