The M.Zuiko Digital 17mm f/2.8 (Black) from Olympus is a wide-angle pancake lens for Olympus PEN and other cameras using the Micro Four Thirds format. It has a 17mm focal length (equivalent to 34mm on a 35mm format camera) and a fast f/2.8 maximum aperture for shooting everything from landscapes and portraits to close-ups with outstanding image quality. This lens is so compact (only 0.87" (22mm) long), that with the camera attached you can carry it in a handbag, purse, and even a coat pocket. It (barely) tips the scales at a negligible 2.5 oz (71 g).

I use this lens in all kinds of situations. It especially is fabulous in low light circumstances. It makes my Lumix gf3 so small it will fit in my pocket. A definite winner on all counts. A must for everyone.

I originally purchased the black 14-42mm E-P2 kit, and have enjoyed using the included lens. But the 17mm 2.8 was beckoning, finally available in matching black! It's tack sharp, nicely made, with great bokeh. Next up, the M. Zuiko telephoto...(!)
