Comments about Minox MD 8x42 CWP Monocular:
Bought this for professional work on boats of all sizes. Half the weight, half the bulk, half the price of similar quality binoculars (go figure). Means I can take it easily when travelling, every ounce counts when you're hauling gear. Optics are good, equal to high quality binoculars, though my eyes sometimes struggle a bit to focus. Not sure I'd trust the compass to be too accurate, but better than some, you can definitely use this as a bearing compass and replace that gear item as well.
