Comments about Iogear GHDSW3 3-Port HD Audio/Video Switch with Remote:
While the webpage for the product suggests that no power adapter is required, that wasn't my experience. My Bluray player wouldn't even start up when connected to the switch yet worked perfectly when connected directly to the TV. When I contacted customer support they offered to send me a power adapter for free, which was nice, but I think it would be better if they simply included it with the purchase, since I now have to wait for delivery of the adapter in order to use the switch for it's intended purpose.

Comments about Iogear GHDSW3 3-Port HD Audio/Video Switch with Remote:
The problem was an excellent HD large screen monitor with only one input. This switch connects it to a cable box and allows me to switch to a game console without pug swithing. It is fast to set up, and easy to use. The remote makes using it convenient, and the price is the best part.

Comments about Iogear GHDSW3 3-Port HD Audio/Video Switch with Remote:
I bought this because my TV only has 2 HDMI connections and figured I'd end up needing more. So when I bought an Xbox 360 I was happy to use this to switch between that and my existing PS3. Within an hour of use, while watching a TV show via my PS3, I first noticed interference which within seconds resulted in picture break up, then snow. Finally the TV was left with a 'unsupported mode' message. I checked everything and changed to the unused input and it seemed to be back up and running. 10 minutes later that fizzled out. I read somewhere that you DO need a power adaptor (this has an input but no adaptor is included). I might try a suitable one and see if this is the problem, but it looks more like the electronics are burning out than a low power problem. This is a great shame as the unit is otherwise faultless and the price is outstanding. I'm marking it down slightly as it's unusual for electronics to fail this quickly nowadays. If the power adaptor solution works, then that's additional expense. I hope to get it working or get it replaced by the manufacturer because the price is fair and it's an ideal solution to future proof the TV as everything starts moving to HD signals. The physical strength of the HDMI cables when inserted make this lift immediately off the surface. Some double sided padded tape would be good to fix this to a surface to avoid this happening.

Used this switch to hook up two PC's to the same monitor. Needed some cables to do DVI to HDMI conversion, but I connected everything and it worked right our of the box.

Does not work at all with a Sharp TV and a Sharp Home Theater. Only works if you unplug Sharp Home Theater. It is a strange oddity of the Sharp Aquos Link System. None of the other three I tried worked either.

Out of box, plugged in, works very well. Has an instant switching between sources, nice feel to the remote. Worth more than it costs by far.
