Logan Graphics 32" Compact Classic Mat Cutter
The 32-Inch Compact Classic Mat Cutter from Logan is designed to cut mats of any length. The included parallel mat guide lets you set your own border widths, ranging from 0.75" (1.9 cm) to 4.5" (11.4 cm). Even if you have never cut your own mat before, Logan makes it easy to get started with its complimentary instructional DVD and illustrated matting guide.
For the beginner, the Compact Classic Cutter includes everything you need to get started, including a standard and bevel cutting heads, interchangeable metric and U.S. scales, a built-in carrying handle and case, and 5 extra blades.

Bought it to be used for framing of my wife's creations. (She was an artist.) Works like a charm.
There is precision, ease of use, and a way to beat the high prices charged by frame shops. I would not buy this to frame only one or two items because that would not be economical. Makes double or triple mats a snap (just follow the instructive video).
No complaints.

The mat cutter has been used for home framing projects to great success. It has easy to understand directiors, a great bevel cut ability. The one thing to note about it is that it is big! So you need to have the table space to set it up.
