The Analog Delay from Akai is a guitar foot pedal that delivers true analog delay with up to 1.1 seconds of delay, available in two configurations. A toggle-switch adjusts the "Time" knob so that it functions between 0 to 600mS or 0 to 1200mS of delay. These settings encompasses sounds evocative of the classic slap-back of rockabilly and surf, all the way to the atmospheric echo which prevailed in the 80's and remains popular today.
Three knobs provide precision control. "Mix" allows for dialing in the precise amount of delay effect. In association with the "Time Switch" toggle, the Time knob controls the length between repeats. "Repeat" controls how many duplicates of the source sound are generated. True-bypass switching is available for when the guitar signal needs to be unaffected. The pedal is housed in a heavy-duty polished stainless-steel chassis for rugged and reliable operation.
