Comments about CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi240 Desktop Computer:
My work consists mainly of Retouching and Restoration, which is memory intensive, so I need a FAST computer. This is it.
The SSD reduces my start-up time to practically nothing. Because the included 64GB drive isn't big enough to handle everything,I had B&H install an additional larger SSD for my Lightroom and Photoshop Suites.
I also added an additional 12GB of RAM, bringing the memory up to 24GB. This has resulted in my having almost no lag time when using memory intensive tools like Liquefy.
And of course the Raedon 6950 2GB video card with dual monitor support completes the package. Allowing my to increase my speed and flexibility throughout.
At this point I haven't had the opportunity to use the eSATA and USB 3.0, but I expect to put them to work before long.
The only problem I've had is the fact that I wasn't informed before purchase that the 2 Front drive trays weren't connected at the factory. You have to manually connect them, which I did with a simple phone call to CyperpowerPC's.
Which brings up another point.
CyberpowerPC's support is easily the best I've ever used. They actually answer the phone without having to navigate a complex phone tree, or get transferred through multiple "technicians" to find someone who might or might not be able to assist you. (I HATE dealing with someone who doesn't understand the language, reads from a script, and will only transfer me anyway.)
I completely agree with the reviewer from Prime Images. This desktop ROCKS.

Comments about CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi240 Desktop Computer:
I do a lot of editing, retouching, and photo restoration work. What I need is a system that starts fast and can make more efficient use of the tools in Photoshop and Lightroom.
With all of my previous computers I found myself continuously having my work come to a crawl due to the amount of memory needed. In particular when using the liquefy and photomerge tools.
The included 64GB SSD boots up and has me ready to go in 30 seconds or less. Unfortunately it's not big enough to handle much of anything beyond the OS, so I had B&H install a secondary 128GB SSD specifically for Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 3. In addition I also added another 12GB of RAM.
This system is now so fast I've never had on single delay from excessive memory usage.
So far I haven't used the eSATA or USB 3.0, but I expect to in the near future.
Oh yes, I almost forgot about the Radeon 6950 2GB video card. Which easily supports my two 24 inch Dell UltraSharp monitors, making editing even easier.
I completely agree with the gentleman (or woman) from Prime Images, this system ROCKS.

Comments about CyberpowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXi240 Desktop Computer:
I'm a commercial photographer and needed a FAST desktop to do all my photo and video editing work with room for future expansion. Someone suggested a gaming desktop so I checked out this CyberPower which I've never heard of being a Dell loyalist for many years. I've had it now for almost 3 weeks and I was completely blown away with it's hyper speed and performance. Who says this desktop is just for gaming?
Top of the list is its solid state hard drive. No more waiting to get booted up. Start-up is almost immediate as soon as you push the start button and enter your password. But with barely 6GB left in my primary drive, I had to move all my software including PhotoShop to my secondary drive. I wish B&H or CyberPower would give us that option to upgrade to a 250GB drive.
With 12GB of RAM (24GB total) and a Radeon 6950 2GB video card connected to two 24 inch Dell Ultrasharps, video editing is now a breeze.
Other great features are the USB 3.0 and eSATA sockets which I'll probably be using in the near future. I have a couple of external drives with the old USB 2.0 and they literally take forever to transfer files. But with the eSATA, transferring large files to and from an external drive is now fast....as in FAST. Though I could also add 2 more internal drives with just a slide of a tray in front, there's just plenty of room for back-up.
Bottomline, this desktop ROCKS and I am completely satisfied with its performance.
