Comments about Odyssey Innovative Designs Redline Series Digital XL Media Controller / Mixer / Player Bag (Black with Red Interior):
I Dj a bunch of places every week and needed/wanted a shoulder bag to carry my controller setup everywhere. I got the bulky S4 and didn't want to pay 280 for a branded bag with wheels (if i recall right). So i ended up falling on this bag.
250 canadian potatoes, but well worth it. Lots and lots of storage space. Theres three sections, the the one on top is mid sized and has space for 2 harddrives, bunch of cables and CDs or headphones if they can fold sideways.
Then you got the middle "pocket" (for lack of a better term) which is just a big storage space for a) designed for it's own little (for laptops of up to some 19 inches) incorporated laptop bag which has the same front pocket as the front of the actual bag, great for harddrives, laptop cables or whatever you need to squeeze in there, b) i tried Maschine in there, it fit very well, used some extra foam sticks that they supply with the bag to cover the knobs for extra protection. Was a little loose but once the bag is filled up, nothing moves in there, without being overly squashed either.
Finally, you got the controller that fits in the bottom with the help of some extra supplied foams, that can stick to velcro that is located on each inner corner of the bag. The supplied shoulder strap is really comfy, but the bag gets REALLY heavy when filled up.
So, highlights are
-Zippers are heavy duty
-No need of a second bag, all in one wonder!
-Laptop bag is nice to have, when i setup i take it out so i dont have to crouch every time
-The controller section is padded with plastic and lots and lots of foam.
The only cons i can think of are
-The bag can get pretty heavy when completely full
-The outer fabric/material seem to be a little easy to beat. So extra care is suggested if you don't like tears on the outside.
Great bag, all i needed, with extra so i don't need a laptop bag to gigs anymore. Shoulder strap looks better than back packs in my opinion which is a +++ for this bag. And don't forget, it does look good and pro!

Comments about Odyssey Innovative Designs Redline Series Digital XL Media Controller / Mixer / Player Bag (Black with Red Interior):
This bag is pretty amazing for it's price. Build quality is exceptional. Technically you are getting two bags in one, because the smaller bag can be removed to be completely separate.
I use mine to carry the NI S4 with a decksaver. It fits with room to spare using the included cloth covered foam bumpers. This bag has also held my APC40. The best thing is, if you wanted to, you could have the S4 in the main compartment, an APC40 or other smaller controller in the top compartment, another APC40 sized controller in the second bag, and your 15" laptop in the front pocket of the second bag, and still have the main bags front pocket completely empty. The space in this thing is almost overwhelming, but the size is still compact enough to be a carryon on all but the most vicious airlines.
One bad thing that I did notice is that if you use a 15" MacBook, or other similar or smaller size laptops, there isn't really a snug place to put your laptop other than the second bags front pocket with a bumper inserted. The second bags main compartment is just too large to hold a 15" or smaller without a ton of wiggle room. The front pocket has been working for me just fine though, only a minor complaint.
