Comments about Bell & Howell X7HD Camcorder:
I bought this for regular, everyday shooting.
The camcorder gives pretty good quality picture yet in low light, the color of the video gets too red. It doesn't seem to have Image Stabilization so the pictures can get very shaky if you not moving as you are shooting the video.
It takes regular SD card so the length of the shoot is not limited by internal memory like some other palm-held camcorders are.
Overall not too bad. But if you want to go for a better quality videos, FlipVideo or kodak playsport is better bet with a little more money.

Comments about Bell & Howell X7HD Camcorder:
This is a really neat little Camera+Camcorder. I have a Cuckoo Clock Internet Store online and I wanted to make videos of some of the clocks in action, and to make Videos so I can send to customers where I can show them their Clocks after I do repair on them. As for the sound, do not get upset on the Volume thru the camera for as soon as you upload it as a .avi file and run it thru a player like Media player or VLC player the volume is GREAT! I would recommend this to a friend. Well worth the money, Just make sure when you do buy the cam you either have a Memory card or buy the one suggested on the site.

Comments about Bell & Howell X7HD Camcorder:
This was a gift for my daughter who is starting to like making "documentaries". She loves the light weight and the lens cover/switch operation. The still pictures when indoors are quite poor but the 720 hd video shoots great.

Comments about Bell & Howell X7HD Camcorder:
I've used a Sony Hi8 camcorder, and at the other end of the spectrum the video recorder on my tiny Fuji F30 digital camera.
I have to say that yes, the difference between the camcorders is astounding. The HD video from the X7HD compared to my other dedicated full featured camcorders is really noticeable. The HD video is crystal clear, and I did not expect it to come out so nice considering the size and price of this piece.
This camcorder literally fits in my shirt pocket and is smaller and much lighter than my iPhone.
On my iMac, the video looks better than that of the digital camera. The LCD size is 2.0", but feels smaller due to the overall size of the camcorder. The direct output to both to my regular Sony SD and Sharp HDTV is decent.
The built-in lens cover is a little useless, but it works well because it acts as the "on/off" switch. It was a nice convenience having a built-in led light for shooting when dark.
Also, another good feature about this specific camcorder is that it takes still photos too. They are nothing to brag about, but at least it has the feature. The "flip mino" cameras do not have the ability to take still shots which I think is kind of silly.
That being said, I'm glad I bought this camcorder and not a Flip for $160.
