Having purchased the Novel 7" ereader for my grandaughter I was delighted with the capabilities of the device. Instead of just an ereader she got a mini-IPAD albeit a little slow. I found the keyboard easy to use despite some reviews I found to the contrary. You just need to realize it's pressure sensitive. I was delighted to discover how intuitive the interface was as my 10 year old grandaughter began to use it with no instruction from me.
The only BUT is the fact that the WIFI is a little slow but easily good enough for email but not interactive gaming. As an ereader it is also just fine. For youngsters where investing a lot of money may not be appropriate this is an ideal device.

great if you want a practical reader w/wifi capability. Can surf the web and shop online. They say there is an update for the reader, but unless I am doing something wrong I can not get it to work. Submitted a manufacturer email for support, so far no answer 24 hours later. Purchased one for me and one for my partner. Reader works great with Barnes and Noble, but havent been able to get Amazon or other book services to work unless I download them into my desktop PC and transfer them to the reader. SPECIFICALLY BOUGHT IT FOR ANDROID APPS, BUT THEY ARE ONLY 1.5 VERSION COMPATIBLE AT THIS POINT. If I figure the update and get better service from Pandigital, I will certainly update thi sreview at that time. So far battery life VERY SHORT.

Purchased this product for my wife, primarily as an e-reader but also for some limited tablet related things (e.g. Facebook, e-mail). Quickly found out that this product was very hard to use due to the extremely poor touch screen and slow responsiveness. I appreciate that you pay for what you get, but there would be a 1 or 2 second delay from applying your finger (or the supplied stylus) before the touch screen moved. In addition the e-mail client was poor and did not recognize either my Hotmail account or my wife's Yahoo! account.

Ok product, but I watched my son set his tablet down on the table and "crack" just like that. It was not even that hard. I would say add another 75 dollars or so and buy something that may last longer.

I wouldn't rate this a star but it was a required field. Everything that's cheap isn't good and this tablet was too cheap tp be good. I tried to download several apps, some I even paid for and they didn't work. I didn't get upset, just figured I would call customer support; 30 minutes later and I am removing any personal info there is from this device. It does not support adnroid apps and it is very slow. There are some things on it that worked ok for the money but after downloading 10 apps and only 2 worked and the lack of customer support has me finished with Pandigital. In my opinion they get 0 stars, poor product and even poorer customer service.

This product dose not have a real android operating system with it. You can not download android apps on this tablet. Did not like B&N books. Do research before buying this product. I had problems updating the system too. It stinks.

It was just delivered before she stepped out, so she wanted me to see how things on it worked. The wifi was easy to connect on "linkys" but setting my own up, I had no clue but wasn't to worried about at the time. After fooling with ebook on it... which was alot more complicated than it should have been, it kept asking for the android phone. After 30 minutes of fooling with it, the battery died, because it was not charging. As we speak, I have it plugged into the computer, But as I go to turn it on, it just shuts back off. I then looked for help online thinking maybe it doesn't have enough life to be on and charge at the same time, but this issue is very common with this device. Some didn't work when they recieved it, some didn't work after a few weeks to a month. Mines, well my mother's worked just enough to look at it. She got this product to see if she would enjoy the use of it enough to step her game up to an iPad. I would suggest anyone to save for an Ipad (even though I heard iPad struggles to charge on a lapton, and will need a strong motherboard at times)

I bought this to replace a KOBO reader. I was looking to trade up from the basic KOBO to the one with the touch screen when I saw this one at [...] and thought, WOW for the same price of [$], I can have a beautiful color screen where the KOBO is B&W, be able to also have somewhat of a tablet as well..The screen is gorgeous. The free available apps are great. The ability to read my B&N books great. My only real complaint is its weight, more than a pound which does get heavy when holding in my hand while reading in bed.I like it so much that I have decided to just consider it a small laptop . . . which it basically is. It allows me to surf the web, and add office programs in addition to the many just mentioned. If you want something light, this will not be the one for you.

I understand why Apple is the first. At Pandigital nothing works! The eareader is very slow and has bugs and hardware problems. It doesn't shut off or turn on when you want. The touchscreen is really mistake. Google Android App is a joke. Nothing works.
I will give it to my dog and buy a Ipad2

Great price for color screen! However, easily breakable and not user friendly. It took several months to figure it out. Even with normal wear and tear issues, customer service is very hard to deal with. Either you get no response or they send you a preautomated message. My pandigital stopped working when it was still covered by warrenty, and it was just a headache dealing with customer service.

I bought it hoping to give it to my 7 yr old to surf web, but after updating firmware and converting to tablet, even for a 7 yr old, doesn't cut it. Very sluggish and the screen is made of glass, delicate.
