I wanted and extra two feet but other brands were flimsy or too expensive. I had a cap on how much to spend, and this was an easy choice cause I love everything I've bought from California Sunbounce. I could have gone with a lighter longer carbon-fiber pole but this one is very sturdy and I don't have to baby it. A bit heavy, but it is very easy to adjust and I can crank down on it hard so I can feel sure it will not come crashing down.
