International orders*The HMC Book by Barry Green offers a comprehensive reference guide for Panasonic's HMC150, HMC80 and HMC40 camcorders. This book and CD combo covers the cameras and their features, settings, modes, tapeless workflow, working with AVCHD footage, and tutorials on some of the most common situations users may run into with these cameras.
You'll be able to learn what all the features of the cameras actually do, and when and why you'd want to use each setting. A section of tutorials and essays teach a range of subjects from simple to advanced levels, including explanations on how to get the shallow depth-of-field look, how to control strobing and shoot 24P (or 25P) for the best results, and how to use the waveform monitor and vectorscope.
This book expands on "The HMC150 Book," adding more than 40 pages of coverage of the HMC40 and HMC80, as well as a FAQ section that covers common workflow and operational issues. The rewritten tutorials cover basic camcorder operations such as focusing, white balance, exposure, and other sections that help new users (and those new to professional camcorders) get the most from their Panasonic camera.
Also included is a CD-ROM that contains all the scene file explanation pictures and sample scene file photographs in uncompressed format, as well as 24 scene files that you can copy to an SD card and upload into your HMC150 series camera. Scene files for 60 Hz (USA) and 50 Hz (Europe and Asia/Pacific) are included.
