Lensbaby's Sweet 35 Optic is a 35mm optic with a 12-blade diaphragm and adjustable aperture (f2.5-f/22) that gives you unprecedented precision control over the "sweet spot" of focus in your selective focus photos. This is the widest focal length of any Lensbaby selective focus optics--the Sweet 35 also has close-focus capabilities. It's part of the Lensbaby Optic Swap System. Use it with the Lensbaby Composer, Scout, Muse, or Control Freak lens body--just rotate the dial on the front of the optic to quickly change the size of your in-focus "sweet spot".

Comments about Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic:
Using this lensbaby sweet 35 for Senior portraits. Not a very solid stop at the f-stops, but it works. Like most Lensbaby stuff it is minimalist fun.

Comments about Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic:
I use the Sweet Optic with my Lensbaby composer for artsy, narrow field of view images. The Sweet Optic simplifies aperture adjustment. Previously had to use magnetic tool to remove one aperture disc and replace with another. Now its a simple as rotating the aperture ring. Downside is that the optic seems a bit loose in the composer. Would have preferred a tighter fit.

Comments about Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic:
Love the Lensbaby Composer Pro but hated the changing of the discs to change aperture. Now with the Sweet 35 Optic it makes life much easier. Great addition to the Lensbaby line.

Comments about Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic:
We love our Lensbabies. But it's not super convenient to change apertures with magnets and rings. This is a useful addition/correction to an existing set of lenses. I imagine that in the future the next phase will be for them to include this within the LB itself...but for now and for people who already own a Composer, it's ideal

Comments about Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic:
I recently purchased a Lensbaby so that I could experiment with alternative types of portraiture, and found the optics that game with it to be acceptable but not much more than that.
With this optic, the lensbaby has become a reasonable option for me (when compared with lenses like the Sigma 50 1.4 and the Nikkor 35 2.0) The quality of the image and the convenience of not aperture disks make this a good lens for doing some selective focus work.
It in no way will replace tilt-shift lenses (I work with the Nikkor 85 pc-e usually) but it does have its own niche.
If you want to explore the realm of selective focus and maintain some image quality, I would recommend this optic.

Comments about Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic:
This is the coolest Lensbaby product to date in my opinion! I like the ability to be able to change the aperture on the fly and in combinination with the composer pro or muse, this lens optic is a must have for anyone who doesn't want to spend a ton to get the tilt-shift look with great image quality. This lens is so much fun! The 12 blade aperture creates amazingly smooth bokeh too.

Comments about Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic:
This product eliminates the awkward changing of f-stop discs. The downside is that it does not accept accessories such as wide angle or telephoto lenses so one has to swap the optic out for one that does.
Comments about Lensbaby Sweet 35 Optic:
Nice addition to the "optic swap" system. Very easy to use with the on board f stop adjustment. Dial in the f stop,,,tilt to place the sweet spot,,,focus and shoot. I also find the 35mm focal length to be pretty useful for many photo opps.
