Whether you're dirt-biking, surfing, skiing, or some sporting activity yet to be invented, the ATC9K can be strapped to your helmet, handlebars, or goggles and set to record every thrilling frame of action. Capable of shooting 1080p and 720p HD video, this rugged and compact cam also gives you the option of shooting in 30 or 60 frames per second--the latter ideal for capturing high-speed movement or converting footage into slow motion.

Shipped with a variety of mounting options, the camera can also be outfitted with an optional GPS module for mapping your speed, location, altitude, and distance traveled. Recording standard QuickTime (.MOV) files to readily available MicroSD and SDHC memory cards, the ATC9K's footage can be played back on the built-in 1.5" LCD or easily edited on your Mac or Windows system of choice.

Comments about Oregon Scientific ATC9K All Terrain Video Camera:
I bought this camera while skiing in Andorra.
- Poor dynamic range when capturing snow. Snow+sun = complete white picture. Snow+cloudy = complete gray picture. As result all snowboarding videos looks like "skier in the white/gray space"
- Waterproof?! It was full of water after first kayak turnover. After disassembling I found plastic chips on microphone rubber. Now its electronics is dead.
- Support. Central support redirected me to Spain office (may be it was nearest support to the shop?). And email conversation with Spain office was completely unreliable: I could wait for an answer for few weeks, to get an answer I have to ask central office again and again... without any result. So I stopped trying.
I can't comment if the picture is good in other conditions: mine ATC9K died in the beginning of the spring.

Comments about Oregon Scientific ATC9K All Terrain Video Camera:
*The bike handle bar mount is too small for my handle bars on my road bike, I had to modify it to fit. I got a longer screw ans bent it to the contour of the bar.
*While it is mounted to the handle bar the mic picks up vibration sounds, so you can not hear what is happening around you.
*Big improvement needed; while the cam is mounted you can not tell if it is recording or not, other then looking into the lens to see if the red light is blinking... they need to have a light on the top of the camera so you can see it as your riding. Also, this way you can also tell when the battery runs out.
*other then the needed improvements needed, the camera is great. I have been riding from San Fransico to LA California with the Ride2Recovery program for wounded warriors and the camera has captured great riding... Thanks. It would even be better if the improvents I have talked about can be worked out.

I use this for my wheel chair students. I also use it for skateboard, skiing, mountain biking and underwater videos. It works fine and is shock proof.
