There's no denying it. The Panasonic TC-P50X3 50" Class VIERA X3 Series 720p Plasma TV is a big television set. This is the one you want for your living room, family room or even a modest home theater. Yet despite its huge screen it weighs less than 70 pounds without its stand and with the right optional equipment (not to mention expertise) you can actually hang it on your wall.
Pair your TC-P50X3 with a DVD or Blu-ray player that supports 24p playback and you'll watch movies at exactly the frame rate at which they were shot without "jaggies" or "judder". In addition to TV, DVDs and Blu-ray discs you can insert a thumb drive into its slot on the TV to view individual JPEG images, JPEG slideshows with music and home movies shot in the AVCHD format. You can also use one of the USB ports to plug in a USB wireless LAN adapter (sold separately).
In the past, plasma sets were known as energy gulpers. No more. Your TC-P50X3 uses only about half the energy similar sets used just a few years ago. It is even mercury and lead free.
With all the latest high technology Panasonic hasn't forgotten about those who are hard of hearing. This set can display closed captioning from sources that provide it; and CC can also come in handy when you're watching in a noisy environment.

Comments about Panasonic TC-P50X3 50" Class VIERA X3 Series 720p Plasma TV:
We purchased this Panasonic plasma for our Family Room after our 18yo tube TV decided to develop picture problems. Knowing we wanted our next TV to hopefully last long, we did our research and found the Panasonic plasma gave us the best bang for our buck. Initial set up was super easy. We were a bit concerned placing a plasma in a room with lots of natural light. However, the picture quality and brightness is outstanding and would give any LCD a run for it's money. Anyone purchasing this TV will find it a great value and won't be disappointed. Additionally, this was our first purchase from B & H. The process was super easy through them and their distribution company.

Comments about Panasonic TC-P50X3 50" Class VIERA X3 Series 720p Plasma TV:
I mainly use this TV for watching sports and movies, although it looks good for basically any use. It is sleek in design and well thought out in terms of functionality. Many features to keep most people completely satisfied.
The picture quality is better than I expected, especially for the price, no complaints there.
I am sure there are TV's with better blacks and if that is what you are looking for, you can probably find one. However, you will have to spend a lot more to get it and this unit does it just fine.

This is our second Panasonic Plasma 50" TV and B&H Photo video price was competitive.
Panasonic is leader in Plasma TV, this TV is energy efficient and also does not contain mercury or lead.
LCD or LED still cannot match the crispness of this Plasma TV.

This is a great TV for cable, streaming video from the internet and displaying your pictures and videos. I am very pleased with the TV and the fast service from B&H. The only negative I have found is that I need more than 2 HDMI ports, but that can be fixed with a HDMI docking port.

Comments about Panasonic TC-P50X3 50" Class VIERA X3 Series 720p Plasma TV:
One week with the TV now, and so far it is excellent, especially for the price. My 2nd set, in the bedroom (he-he); used alot when riding the exercise bike. There is almost no glare (it's rare), the picture is crisp, and so far no complaints. I can't really tell any difference between this 720p Plasma and a 1080p LED that I have in my famiuly room.

Excellent deal. Everything was great. The VIERA picture is fabulous, and the shipping and delivery was exactly on schedule. I bought two for less than most people pay for 1. My neighbors are very jealous of the deal we got with B+H.

Comments about Panasonic TC-P50X3 50" Class VIERA X3 Series 720p Plasma TV:
Bought this tv for my father. He doesn't watch blurays. He just wants to watch dvds and the news. This was perfect for what he needed. Blacks are black and the color is not oversaturated. I really like the picture quality compared to my 46" Sony EX400 1080p LCD. I hooked up my media player and played both 720p and 1080p files and it looked great. Picture settings didn't need to be adjusted. It just looks great out the box. There is no white clouding within the pictures. It can be viewed at all angles even while I was in the kitchen peaking over. Compared to my Sony LCD I couldn't see anything. Going to buy a Panasonic plasma for myself in a few more months but in 1080p since I watch lots of blurays.
