The 600Hz Subfield Drive insures that each individual pixel remains lit for the minimum time possible to reduce after effects. This is especially important in sports and action sequences. And speaking of action, Game Mode tweaks the TC-P60S30's settings, prioritizing fast response and super-sharp detail for the lightening-fast gaming world.
The TC-P60S30's extensive connectivity has got your digital options covered with three HDMI connections, so you can switch from Xbox to PlayStation to TV as fast as you want to. Or you use the two USB ports to enjoy music, videos and JPEG slide shows. If that's still not enough, the LAN port is your gateway to a world of online entertainment. Just press the VIERA Tools button on your remote. But that's not all your remote can do. Instead of juggling several remotes while you miss the kickoff, control all of your HDMI connected devices with just the VIERA remote. Setup is a snap. You can even go wireless with the optional WiFi adapter.

This is an excellent tv with a fantastic picture. The smart features are great. The only downside is a fairly reflective screen that is not a problem unless you have bright lights in front of the screen.

We bought this 60 inch to replace a 43 inch DLP tv. We ordered it on Monday and it arrived Friday morning (free shipping!). The picture is much better than the DLP, which always seemed rather dark. Set up was easy and the remote is very user friendly. We've found that the speakers sound better in "theater" mode. We've only had the tv for a couple of weeks, but have no complaints. We're very happy with our purchase.

This is the centerpiece of my home theater, replacing a Panasonic 50" plasma, which will go into another room. The video settings menu is a little different from the previous TV, but I am slowly tweaking it to my liking. Detail and color, especially the dark blacks, are all there. I'm looking forward to it breaking in, and really optimizing its performance.

Picture in HD is phenomenal. SD picture quality was actually better on my old Sony rear projection TV, but aside from the local weather channel, everything I watch is in HD, so that doesn't matter much to me. Also, this is a 2D set, which I intentionally sought out, since I'm just not interested in wearing 3D glasses for limited programming anyway.
Plasma is the preferred choice for viewing at extreme angles, and this picture is clear and defined for a very wide angle of viewing. That was my main reason for buying this TV, and I am thoroughly satisfied with it.
