I used this flash on an outdoor shoot. Just as the sun was setting. I was able to keep the models lit against the darkening sky.
the triton flash was easy to adjust the power level. Once you learn the setting values.
Example to increase by 1/3 stop turn the setting up the pluses sign (1/4+).
How
ever the knob does not have a stop at full power or lowest power. it continues to spin, jumping from one end of the range to the other end. I my prefer to have it stop at the first and last setting.
The light produced aw seven and beautiful. I tried to feather the light from the bottom of the Octo. And my post production was minimal. Crop and sizing,

I just purchased this kit to photograph an outdoor wedding and reception. The kit came in about 2 days before the event and to be honest, the instructions were not much help but I was able to figure it out pretty quickly having experience with strobes. The only drawback I can say is that the kit does NOT include a hand held stick or pole if you are wanting an assistant to carry the light around with you. I figured that out too late to order so I had to rig a stand to use for the event, which worked out perfectly. The reception was almost completely dark. With my 580 flash, I would have been on an ISO of 6400 with my Mark II 5D, having an awful time of focusing on what I was shooting, and ending up with grainy photos that would still have been too dark - hours of editing! The kit allowed me to shoot at ISO 1000 with the light power set at less than half, with almost TOO MUCH light on the crowd! It was amazing and so much help. As the night progressed, my husband - who helped me carry the light around - was able to turn on the modeling light just so the camera could focus on the subjects. A huge help! It only turns on for about 10 seconds before turning off, which is just enough time without ruining the mood of the candle lit party. I did have to change out the battery in the kit but that was only because I was turning the modeling light on with more frequency towards the end of the reception. It was a great plus that an extra battery was included. Couldn't have done this event without the kit. A GREAT BUY!!

On a scale of 1 to 10 this TritonFlash is most definitely a 10 and above. The pictures taken with strobe are just speechless. I'm going to get one more so I can create better pictures for my client. The pictures taken with this strobe come out editorial. I made the right decision by purchasing this product over the competition.

I wanted something small with power and it has it. I need something I could carry without any problem and this does the job. Short of it I'm enjoying this. Power without weight.

I purchased this unit because it claimed to produce everything I needed for my needed application - and it does! The unit is small, light weight and produces a nice soft light for portraits on the go.

I ran the unit continuously for 250+ shot at 50% power, at 5 - 10 second intervals, without one single missed shot. The TritonFlash is rated for 700 flashes on a full charge of the Lithium battery. Recycling is fast, the light is bright and I have no concerns about the unit shutting down because of a heat sensor.

Prior to this unit, I burned out two on-camera, dedicated flash units. While they were out for repair, I purchased two upgraded models of the on-camera flash units only to discover they had heat sensors that shut down in the middle of a job - YIKES!!!

TritonFlash has solved that problem, and I can now concentrate on creating great images for my clients without having to watch and listen for the sensor shut down on my on-camera units.

The Swivel Stand Mount is sturdy and solid. All cables and components are of a good quality and does the job well.

The only negative is that I can't seem to find a single TritonFlash unit for sale in the marketplace. Note the battery pack can handle two lights, and I would like to purchase a single unit instead of another Kit.

I would refer the TritonFlash to friends.

This is a super strobe. If you are using off camera speed lights and want something more, check this unit out. It gives a very professional effect to all your images. Light is bright and just enough to add highlights, awesome fill light or back light. The system is very compact and the extra battery is a plus.
