The LG Electronics BD630 Blu-ray Disc Player is a multi-tasking disc player that offers full HD 1080p playback and Wi-Fi readiness so you can take advantage of online streaming.
Blu-ray discs are encoded in 1080p resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and offer incredibly crisp, clear visual imagery. With the BD630 you can fully experience your favorite Blu-ray discs with this high resolution. Since it upscales your standard DVDs to near-HD quality, you'll even experience a whole new level of clarity from your DVD collection.
This player can be connected to your home internet connection if you purchase the required adapter and then the fun begins. Once you're connected, you can take advantage of online streaming of content from services like Netflix (with a subscription), VUDU, CinemaNow and YouTube for additional entertainment. Support for BD Live 2.0 lets you take advantage of online extras like interactive games, quizzes and movie previews that you can download and view. BONUSVIEW allows for a convenient picture-in-picture functionality.
The BD630 has built-in decoding for advanced Dolby and DTS audio formats that will allow for a wider, more immersive surround sound experience when you're watching movies.
It also offers 1080i HD component video output for HD-capable televisions without an HDMI interface. With an understated black finish, connectivity to multiple A/V components, and playback capabilities for several video and audio formats, the BD630 gives you an excellent mix of high quality audio and video processing and access to a slew of online entertainment options.

- The highest resolution Blu-ray discs are capable of producing is full HD 1080p (1,080 lines of vertical resolution) progressively scanned. With this player, you can experience your Blu-ray movies in high resolution for exceptional imaging.

What makes this such a good Player is that it is easy to use and gives a great picture. It does exactly what I want and does not have a convoluted remote that does everything I don't care about. It is a good basic player with the internet bells and whistles. My TV also has the internet connect so I use it as the portal but if you don't have a TV with it this is the way to go. For a very low price you get easy programming from major national sources like Netflix, Hula, Vudu and more. This allows you more entertainment at a good price than you could have imagined.

This products works great as advertised. Fires right up, when straight to update on initial start-up. Almost bought the BD640 because of the built in WI-FI, but a cat5 cable does the job for less money. Syncs with my LG 57" flat screen, picture is great. Recommended it to a neighbor and he bought on the next day!

We use different decks to route video through so that it can be uploaded to our video editing software. The HD this offers works perfectly with our newer cameras and the front USB port allows for easy play through to our editing software. A quick and easy solution!
