The LG 37LK450 37" LCD TV packs a vast amount of great high-end specs and convenience features in an affordable TV that will complement any room in your house.
The combination of Dynamic Contrast, which delivers a ratio of 100,000:1 and full 1080p HD, makes the 37LK450 a remarkable TV by any standard. But that's just the beginning. LG hasn't sacrificed creature comforts for strong specs. Since every room is different, the 37LK450 employs an Intelligent Sensor to automatically calibrate the optimal settings to match the color and light level of your specific space. If you would like to take it further, you can activate the Picture Wizard II Self-Calibration function and take charge of specific quality settings like sharpness, backlight level, tint, color and black level.
The 37LK450 is also ISFccc Ready, meaning that it can be professionally calibrated to your specs and the settings saved as a preset. You can switch back and forth from the factory settings with the push of a button.
The 37LK450's wide connectivity, which includes 2 HDMI connections, enables 1-cable connection of your A/V components. The USB input allows you to share JPEG slide shows and videos with your friends. Real Cinema technology displays HD movies just as they were shot in 24p (24 fps) for an authentic theater experience at home, while Clear Voice II balances the voice channel in relation to swelling music or background noise, so you never miss a word of dialogue.
In addition to all of the above, the 37LK450 is loaded with convenience features like a sleep timer, Parental Control, Closed Captioning A/V input labeling and Favorite Channel Programming. Lastly, Energy Star compliance means that you'll be saving money while helping to save the environment.

I was very pleased with the 37LK450 - not to big, not to small, multiple settings, and plenty of input ports for all of my peripherals. Too many of the newer models I've seen rely only on HDMI setups, completely ignoring multiple component inputs and, more importantly, the RGA three port video inputs. DVD player; VCR; Cable Box; Pre-HD Video game systems; plus I still have room for more! The sound on the tv is just fine, and everything looks great. I'm very easily able to switch back and forth between 4:3 and widescreen viewing, which is especially helpful when watching old programs off of vhs or dvd. It appears as if the tv also upscales video image quite well - I've seen little evidence of ghosting or deteriorated picture.
Very, very pleased.
On the "negative" side, the energy saver option dims the picture image alot, but that can be disengaged with the touch of a button in the set-up menu. So no harm, no foul.
