The LG 55LW5600 55" 1080p 3D LED TV is up to the challenge of displaying Blu-ray native 3D discs or turning your 2D content into an immersive experience. Just add optional 3D shutter glasses. The combination of Dynamic Contrast (which delivers a ratio of 8,000,000:1) and full 1080p HD makes the 55LW5600 a remarkable TV by any standard but we're just getting started.
Since every room is different, the 55LW5600 employs an Intelligent Sensor to automatically calibrate the optimal settings to match the color and light level of your specific space. The 55LW5600 is also ISFccc Ready, meaning that it can be professionally calibrated to your specs and the settings saved as a preset. You can switch back and forth from the factory settings with the push of a button.
The 55LW5600's wide connectivity, which includes four HDMI connections, enables one-cable connection of your A/V components. The two USB inputs allow you to share JPEG slide shows and videos (including DivX HD) with your friends. Real Cinema technology displays HD movies just as they were shot in 24p (24 fps) for an authentic theater experience at home, while Clear Voice II balances the voice channel in relation to swelling music or background noise, so you never miss a word of dialogue.
In addition to all of the above, the 55LW5600 is loaded with convenience features like a sleep timer, parental control, closed captioning A/V input labeling and favorite channel programming. Lastly, Energy Star compliance means that you'll be saving money while helping to save the environment.

I am very impressed with the picture quality and brightness of the screen. The True-Motion feature makes images seem like looking through a window rather than an a TV screen. The 3D quality is unmatched and I have looked at many of the active3D TV's and this is much better.

Both 2D and 3D are very good..
A few things LG could improve would be :
- Typing in stuff with the remote while using SMART TV options (like Youtube..) is a bit clumsy.
- If you are watching youtube via the TV App and
you pause and you exit. you need to start all over again if you come back..

Btw if u have a ps3 and a non 3d blu ray receiver you will need to hook up the ps3 directly to the tv for 3d. Also I thought the sound quality of the tv is superior for 3d compared to regular cable programming..
