One of the most important items in my camera bag.
It's great for walking around town or sporting events and not have to worry about people banging into you. It's not meant to protect against dropping but it's saved me many times, especially at sporting events when there are very close quarters.
I rarely bring a camera bag when using the Zing. It fits my Canon XTi & 75-300 IS lens perfectly and I carry a wide angle lens in a pouch.
I used it in the crowded streets of London and at MANY sporting events. I'd be lost without it.
I use a Dry Sack to keep my equipment waterproof. Dry Sacks usually aren't more than 1 oz. so they're also lightweight. It's a great combo.
I also store my camera in the Zing to keep it dust free.
I've owned a Zing for over 2 years.

It does the intended job of protecting your camera against little bumps and scratches. The standard zoom version fit my Nikon D90 like a glove and I used it constantly. However, this cover doesn't completely cover my Nikon D300s with the battery pack attached no matter how much I stretch it. Not sure how many "Pro" cameras it will cover. If you have a Pro level camera such as the Nikon D3 or Canon EOS 1D, this cover won't fit them.

Comments about Zing Designs Pro Zoom SLR Camera Cover:
The product is designed to protect the camera which is just what I need when I am in a location where I can take a pack pack type camera case. It does an excellent job of keeping the camera safe when it hits brush or a branch and it also protect against moisture.
It's design is all that it is touted to be. It does the job and than some.
Things that are not so great about it? I do not know of any.

I use this Zing to protect my Olympus E-3 with battery grip and an Olympus 12-60 F/2.8. It fits snug and protects the assembled kit from dings and weather etc. It is easy and fast to remove for shooting and I put the zing in my pocket when not on the camera. I've owned several before this one and currently have two for different kits.

This "glove" is perfect for my Canon T3i with a 70-300mm lens attached.
Great for protecting the camera when you don't want to haul the whole camera bag around.
I use it to throw my camera in my golfbag and backpack.

I'm a fly fishing photographer. Most days I'm carrying my camera through wet, coastal forests and streams. This cover keeps my camera dry and provides enough padding to throw it in a pack without worries.

Comments about Zing Designs Pro Zoom SLR Camera Cover:
This is a great cover for an EOS 1D or any other Canon SLR with a battery extension. Despite the rather intriguing style, it is great for protecting the camera when you just want to throw it in a backpack and not worry about it. This particular one is big enough to handle my Canon EOS 5D with an EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM lens but it is a bit snug with the 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS Lens.

Comments about Zing Designs Pro Zoom SLR Camera Cover:
This cover is sold to fit Canon EOS 1 cameras, but it is simply too small on my 1Ds Mark II. Even stretching it, you won't be able to cover the top of the hot-shoe and it is too cumbersome to put on and off . It should either be bigger or more stretchable.

I use this to cover my Canon 7D when I am running to a school event and do not want to lug a camera bag. It is easy to remove and keeps my camera safe. I had this on my camera when my daughter handed me my camera from the car and it dropped. The camera and lens were fine, but I shutter to think what would have happened with out the cover. Nice thick, foam like padding.

Comments about Zing Designs Pro Zoom SLR Camera Cover:
Once you get over the phallic appearance of this case, it's really very easy to use, and very functional. I use it with my Nikon D60 and Tamaron 18-270 lens, which has a locking feature, but it much wider than a kit lens. I still have an inch or two leftover in the section for the lens, so I don't have to push/pull to put the case on or off the camera. The body and lens easily slide into the case, and the velcro straps that fold over and under the barrel of the lens are easy to operate. There's a clip where you could clip it to your camera strap, but I use the clip to keep my speedlight bag attached to the camera. With this cover, I'm able to toss my camera into a diaper bag or purse without worrying about getting dirt or dust on my equipment.

Comments about Zing Designs Pro Zoom SLR Camera Cover:
I bought this as a way of protecting my Canon 7D that I fit into a small Victorinox Kander pack. I didn't want a DSLR pack as that would be way to cumbersome. The combo of these two items are perfect. The Zing cover is a very nice Neoprene slip cover that has a nice snug fit. The only downside, if you want to call it that, is it takes a little getting use to putting this cover on your DSLR. The snug neoprene at first may seem a little difficult, but after doing it a few times you'll appreciate this cover! I know I do.

Bought the Pro Zoom. Fits my D80 Nikon with Battery Grip and 18-270 lens like a glove.
Temperature stable, waterproof, padding effect and dust protective. Neoprene is the BEST material for a soft camera cover.

Zing has scored big with this guy. This cover is tough enough to lay in the dirt, snow, and dust and the take a washing to come out as new. It softly cushions my expensive DSLR, and stretches securely around my camera and zoom lens. This tough cover has also succesfully shed rain and snow off my precious gear.

Comments about Zing Designs Pro Zoom SLR Camera Cover:
Fits snugly on a D300 or 40D-size camera, looser on a smaller body. It's also snug around a 2.8 zoom, like 24-70 or 17-55, with a little extra room for a longer lens, which is good. The thing stretches tight around the camera and protects against bumps really well. I do a lot of rock scrambling with it and it has good padding to protect from nicks and scratches.
The retainer strap can be removed easily and the cover is reversible so you can always buy a color and still have black.
