The LG 47LW5600 47" 1080p 3D LED TV packs a vast amount of great high-end specs and convenience features into a seamless glass panel which looks like it was retro-engineered from a trip to the future.
The 47LW5600 is up to the challenge of displaying Blu-ray native 3D discs or turning your 2D content into an immersive experience. Just add optional 3D glasses. The combination of Dynamic Contrast (which delivers a ratio of 8,000,000:1) and full 1080p HD makes the 47LW5600 a remarkable TV by any standard but we're just getting started. LG hasn't sacrificed creature comforts for strong specs.
Since every room is different, the 47LW5600 employs an Intelligent Sensor to automatically calibrate the optimal settings to match the color and light level of your specific space. The 47LW5600 is also ISFccc Ready, meaning that it can be professionally calibrated to your specs and the settings saved as a preset. You can switch back and forth from the factory settings with the push of a button.
The 47LW5600's wide connectivity, which includes 4 HDMI connections, enables 1-cable connection of your A/V components. The two USB inputs allow you to share JPEG slide shows and videos (including DivX HD) with your friends. Real Cinema technology displays HD movies just as they were shot in 24p (24 fps) for an authentic theater experience at home, while Clear Voice II balances the voice channel in relation to swelling music or background noise, so you never miss a word of dialogue.
In addition to all of the above, the 47LW5600 is loaded with convenience features like a sleep timer, parental control, closed captioning A/V input labeling and favorite channel programming. Lastly, Energy Star compliance means that you'll be saving money while helping to save the environment.

Comments about LG Electronics 47LW5600 47" 1080p 3D LED TV:
The TV was easy to set up and get running. I was disappointed that there were no RCA audio outputs. The only sound output is a SPDIF and for someone whose first wide-screen TV is this one I had no clue what this was and how to hook up to my old amplifier. I emailed B&H and asked them what to do and they quickly responded telling me about some $60 adaptor that would solve that issue. As you can probably tell I do not have a home theater receiver yet though that is the next step. So, though the TV has all these wonderful services like web browsing and netflix, etc, unless you run sound out through this SPDIF connection you will have to listen to the little dink speakers in the TV. That irked me when I hooked up my laptop using the HDMI connection because when I plug in the HDMI my computers headphone connection which I used for audio out turns off (not the TV's fault but if the sound out on the TV was standard it would not have mattered). I really do not understand why the TV has a web connection and the blueray player has a web connection and the home theater-to-be has a web connection - seems redundant to me. Picture quality is very good. It comes with this annoying power saver attribute preset that dims the picture when you turn the light off in your room. That had to be reset to manual and turned off which was fairly easy to do. I have not viewed 3D yet. The picture quality actually blew my wife and I away since we had been watching an old 26" giganto TV. The price from B&H was the best and I checked everyone on the internet. I am docking this one star because of not having an audio RCA output - seems so standard to me but I guess that is now an obsolete technology. If this is not an issue for you then everything else has been great so far in this first week of use and I can recommend this TV for being a great value and an excellent picture.
