Before I get into my account on the Ipad, I should explain that I am mainly a PC user, so, for the most part I am in foreign territory when it comes to a Mac's operation and routine. My hobbies are photography and video, and the Ipad seemed to be just what I needed with the 64gb storage and very nice high definition touch screen.
When I opened the factory sealed box, it was a statement of simplicity... Ipad, cord, and a plug in power supply and a single sheet -- to go online and get setup directions.
The very first problem with my Ipad was to get an opening screen. It comes with no directions in the box, or an explanation of why that strange screen with an arrow comes up. I Googled 'Ipad setup' and learned that it needed Itunes to become operable. Made me wonder why they didn't put a working copy of Itunes on the Ipad? With very good help I got when I "Googled" Ipad set up -- Itunes finally was installed.
Now I was able to load my photos into the Ipad though a mandatory connection with Itunes. When I tried to delete the photos and videos, unbelieveably, I also needed a connection with Itunes. Unfortunately I was in a remote area in Nevada with no Internet connections available and my Ipads memory was full. That was it. Goodbye Ipad. It is now in the possession of one of my kids.

The iPad 2 is great for tracking medical records and for being able to carry multiple portfolios to meetings. The FaceTime app allows visual calls with excellent resolution.
That's what I got it for and it does a great job.
Apple has blocked Adobe Flash so that limits web browsing somewhat.

This is the greatest thing invented. Really - I love it. I'm not at all tech savvy so I was a bit nervous but it's so easy to use and VERY user friendly for someone who is just basically using it for email and internet.
