The Sanyo PLC-XU4000 Ultra Portable XGA Projector has network capability built right in so you can monitor and control a group of projectors over your LAN. You can monitor conditions like power status, lamp status, signal condition, lamp-use time and so on. You can even have projectors email you alerts when a lamp burns out or there has been a power problem.
Beyond its impressive network capabilities the PLC-XU4000 is an impressive projector in its own right. It can accept all the major world video standards for video input and it's compatible with 720p and 1080i high definition TV.
It's also capable of displaying Closed Captioning modes, which are useful not just for the hearing impaired but for aiding people who are learning English as a second language. CC also comes in handy in noisy environments like trade shows.
With 4000 lumens of brightness and a 2000:1 contrast ratio the PLC-XU4000 is capable of projecting crisp, vivid images even when the room isn't totally dark, as when your audience needs enough light to take notes.
Finally, with projecting power, high contrast ratio and network capabilities this projector is ideal for the educational and corporate markets.

- The PLC-XU4000 reduces your total cost of ownership with an ultra long life lamp and filter. The lamp and filter enables 5000 hours in eco-mode and ideal conditions, thanks to a re-designed cooling system, filter size and layout
- Easy Auto Setup
- PLC-XU4000 provides "Auto Setup Function" that corrects keystone shaped distortion by searching for an input signal and detecting projector incline, automatically adjusting for keystone picture distortion. This Auto Keystone Correction, Auto Input Search and Auto PC Adjustment make it easy and simple to use
- Wired LAN
- This model is equipped with Wired LAN (RJ-45) that allows you to manage and control the projector via the Network. Providing access to check the projectors operating time of the lamp control the projector and receive any warning notifications by email. Power on/off and switching of the input signal can also be controlled
- Microphone Terminal with 10W Speaker
- The PLC-XU4000 offers an additional feature of a microphone input terminal. Simply connecting the microphone to the terminal, the presenter can use this feature immediately. The projector is equipped with a 10W speaker and therefore there is no need to set-up any amplifier with cables
- Closed Caption Compatible
- PLC-XU4000 is Closed Caption compatible
- Simple Computer System Setting
- The projector has the multi-scan system to conform to almost all computer output signals quickly. Up to WUXGA resolution can be accepted
- Useful Functions for Presentations
- The digital zoom function allows you to focus on the crucial information during a presentation. Blackboards can be used as a projection screen. The board color is limited to green

- Colorboard Function
- At the time of simple projection on the colored wall, you can get the close color image to the color image projected on a white screen by selecting the similar color to the wall color from the preset four colors

The projector is quiet, light (as opposed to heavy), and bright. Hookup was a cinch. Just wish it had an RS-232 connector so we could use the remote from the audio/visual booth.
