I play drums professionally and own all kinds of headphones, including three different types of Shure's in-ear headphones (ranging from $100 to $400 a pair). All things considered, I prefer to play with Shure's in-ear headphones and I think these are an excellent choice. Don't let the fact that they're not as expensive as the others make you think that they're not excellent equipment. These headphones sound excellent and the isolation is top-quality. I sometimes listen to mixes with these, though I generally go with studio monitors. For gigs and rehearsing, these sound fantastic. They're also great for in the office; you can hardly hear a thing with these on. They're super-comfortable and I can wear them for hours without fatigue.
I prefer to wear these and other in-ear buds while recording because they don't bleed a click track or anything else into the mics.

The instructions provided with the earphones say to insert the earbuds like you would earplugs. This is not true; earplugs are simply inserted straight into the ear. These earbuds, which are angled in various directions and swivel around, take some Houdini moves to insert. After a week of trying, I am finally able to insert the earbuds without using two hands and a mirror, but getting them on is still no easy deal.
I had a pair of Shure earphones that I swore by for years, but they had a "normal" earbud design. Perhaps after a few weeks more of trial and error with this new "improved" design, I will learn the Houdini move and will go back to thinking that Shure earphones are the greatest.

To me they were uncomfortable. And for the first few minutes it was a mystery how to put them on because I've never had earphones like these!

I bought these primarily for on-stage in-ear monitors. After using Sennheisers IE4 for years, these were a great step up! They seal very well and sound great. The cable is very heavy and replaceable. This was a big selling point for me. They have great low end response and very good mids and highs. I can't wait to try them travelling. I highly recommend these for anyone looking in this price range!

I purchased these looking for sound isolation and adequate reproduction while traveling. Obviously, their sound can't be compared to that of full, accurate headphones, but they do extremely well for said purpose. If you're looking for a quality product that will last and make you happy on a tighter budget, these are highly recommended!

They sound great as usual with Shure. They don't go on as easy as the previous version but stay put once you have them on. Replaceable wire seals the deal. Even if it is $50 for one.

Use them in the Gym. These things fit awesome, get a great "seal" and good overall sound. For the price [$] they are a steal. Great build quality, they feel like they will last forever. Had a pair of Bang and Olufsen A8's previous to these, won't go back. Also, used second day air, recieved it next day Great Job B & H

Just received these bad boys 2 days ago and i love the crisp sound and bass. Bass isnt too much where it disrupts the clarity of the music. Its just right. For the price, You would get anything better. Bose or Beats do not compare. For earbuds these rock! You will have to figure out what buds are best for your ears. I personally like foam because they are more comfortable and have better sound cancellation.
Buy these... you wont be disappointed!

Comments about Shure SE215 Sound-Isolating In-Ear Stereo Earphones (Clear):
I bought these mainly for my commute to work which is a bus ride and metro of approximately 1.25 hrs. They dont hurt your hears and are quite comfortable. The memory wire takes a bit before they mold around your ears however, is of little consequence for what these headphones offer. The audio quality that these offer are crisp and have low to medium bass. Its what I consider an excellent headphone for those who listen to all different kinds of music
Also use these for wear under my motorcycle helmet and the sound iso is great.

Comments about Shure SE215 Sound-Isolating In-Ear Stereo Earphones (Clear):
Running with these earphones, they fit surprisingly well and stay in. Noise isolation is great, sound is warm and spacious. Great improvement over the iphone buds. And, they look fantastic, not that it would be a decision factor. Do spend some time testing the different sizes of earbuds, fit is key for sound quality and comfort.
On the negative, the cable is a little long, heavy and clunky (consideration if you want to do sports with them). The sound is missing a bit of detail and bite at the top of the spectrum.
All in all, a very recommendable product.

I bought these to wear under a motorcycle helmet since they fit in the ear. They do a great job of eliminating noise and providing excellent sound. They also feel much better under the helmet than traditional buds.

I have a fair amount of nice full sized headphones and I was looking for something that wouldn't disappoint me for portable use. I've used quite a few pair of cheap ear buds and IEM's and even had a set of Altec Lansing iM716's.
All of the portable options I tried had the same feeling that the sound was right in the middle of your head. These Shures don't have that at all. The sound they produce sounds like it's actually coming from somewhere!
These IEM's sound awesome, fit very nice, look very understated, isolate noise amazingly well, and provide amazing value for your money. Can't recommend them enough.

Comments about Shure SE215 Sound-Isolating In-Ear Stereo Earphones (Clear):
These headphones sound better than I thought and this is probably down to the fit and the ability to get a good seal. I have owned other low end Shure products in the past and have not been impressed. As a spoiled owner of their top of the line SE 535's I wasn't expecting much for [$] but I was wrong. These have a solid build, decent bass with a good high and mid range. Not bad at all for single driver headphones. Another bonus is the cord being detachable for easy replacement if it should get damaged.
