Delkin Devices Snug-It Pro Skin For the Nikon D3100 Digital SLR Camera
The Delkin Snug-It Pro Skin (Black) provides complete protection for a Nikon D3100 digital SLR camera. The heavy-duty skin is custom molded for a glove-like fit. This thick, slip-on skin provides added protection to the camera while ridges molded into the skin's surface insure a better, more confident grip. All controls sensors, attachments and compartments remain unobstructed so you will always have full-access to all camera functions.
The skin is "snugly" molded around the lens to allow the maximum amount of coverage while still allowing for quick lens changes. The Snug-it Pro Skin is made from powder-infused silicone that provides a smooth rather than tacky feel that won't collect lint or debris. There is also a hard plastic cover that protects the LCD against damage. Delkin backs this product with a two-year warranty.

Perfect fit! Great feel to camera now
The skin went on easily - has a section for the hot shoe and adds a better tactile feel to using the camera. Changing lenses is still a very easy task.

I don't like carrying a camera bag, and wanted something to provide a little extra protection. This flexible skin will protect against scratches, but is not great protection against more than that. There were no instructions so, although I did what I thought I was supposed to do with the flexible clear screen cover, I am not sure. The rigid screen cover fits in its track well enough, but is subject to coming loose because of the flexibility of the skin. The openings through the skin for dials and controls allow full functionality but are not precisely done in two places-it looks a little sloppy. The skin itself has been a magnet for pet hair, although that characteristic seems to be abating.
I checked the "No, I would not recommend this to a friend" block. My real answer is that I would give my friend the description above, and let them decide.

When I first received the product and put it on my camera it fit perfectly. All the buttons are assess able and some are even easier to use. The look is great as well. Overall this product is just wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone who has the camera.

It gives a sense of "peace" about going outside with your camera. It won't protect against a SERIOUS drop, but it will keep your camera clean from the elements. The Pro Skin definitely makes your rig "grippier". The plastic covering for the lcd was useless as it did not come close to staying in place. I tossed that part of it shortly after receiving it. No big whoop on that as that was pretty much what I expected from reading previous reviews. One sidelight.... to me, it just looks COOL, when it's on my camera! All in all, I'm pleased!

I like the feel of the snug it though its a tad slippery. I work in arctic conditions, and its hard to grasp sometimes with very cold fingers. I really like the added protection though when I quickly put my camera back in my bag and venture off to a new spot.

The skin gives a good amount of protection to the camera body, which I find useful when out in the field. It doesn't get in the way or make pushing the buttons or accessing the battery compartment or memory compartment more difficult in any way. it does make accessing the panel with the jacks for the attaching to a computer or a remote a bit of a pain, but it's not too bad. The screen protector is a bit of a nightmare to install and doesn't like to stay in, which is why I didn't give it 4 stars.

This adds a layer of protection from bumps and scratches without adding bulk to the camera. Can still use all the buttons without any problems. Doesn't get sticky and wipes clean. A good product.

doesn't help for a huge amount of protection. If you bump in to things it helps but if the camera were to be dropped on concrete or a hard surface it wouldn't help a lot.
the screen cover is not attached to the skin and so it has a tendency to fall and slip out of place. i ended up super gluing the screen cover to the skin so it serves its purpose better now.
