With exquisite HD surround sound reproduction, HD 1080p Deep Color processing, and Blu-ray compatibility, the Yamaha YHT-895 7.1 Channel Home Theater in a Box System (Black) brings the movie theater experience right into your home, without breaking the bank. The YHT-895 receiver features (6) HDMI 1080p/24Hz x.v.Color HD inputs, (2) component video inputs and it offers connectivity to your iPod and Bluetooth (A2DP) audio devices with optional docking stations. A USB port on the front panel provides convenient connection for your iPod/iPhone, which also charges when connected. Because the digital signal from the iPod/iPhone is transmitted directly to the AV Receiver, noise interference is minimized and sound quality is much better. An HDMI terminal on the front panel makes it easy to connect a camcorder or digital camera. All of the HDMI terminals are compatible with 3D and CEC, making them convenient for connecting set-top boxes and Blu-ray disc players.
The included speaker system is capable of reproducing clear dialog and superb surround sound special effects. And the Advanced-YST II 100W 8" (203.2mm) subwoofer is certainly ready to rumble.
The YHT-895 combines style, functionality and clarity with an impressive A/V (105W-Channel) digital receiver that offers advanced Cinema DSP digital technology with Burr Brown 192KHz/24-bit DAC processing. The goal here is to create independent sound fields that fill the room with a surreal HD surround sound experience via Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro-Logic II, and DTS-ES decoders.
Yamaha's YPAO system uses a small microphone and sophisticated equalization to automatically set the best sound for any room, no matter where the speakers are. First it checks the speaker connections and phase of each speaker. Then it sends out tones which are captured by the microphone to analyze the room acoustics and sets a variety of parameters, such as the speaker size, the distance of the speakers and even the sound pressure level. Until it achieves the best sound conditions for your room and you don't have to do anything.
Moreover, it offers superb features that will be hard to match at this price point. Exclusives like Silent Cinema and Compressed Music Enhancer offer the cleanest signal on the market. Other SCENE settings are also available, such as iPod listening, Sirius XM listening [model dependent], TV sports viewing and action game playing. Browsing and selecting the settings is quickly accomplished by changing Input via the front panel and watching the on-screen display. The settings can be selected for one-time use, or they can replace the original default settings. The SCENE names can be changed as well
