The Sony RDP-M5iP Portable Speaker for iPod + iPhone (Black) features dual 2W stereo speakers that bring your music to life with a rich depth of clarity across both high and low frequencies. Besides the iPod/iPhone dock, Sony has integrated a 3.5mm auxiliary line-in for connecting alternate MP3 players, CD players and other audio devices. It's portable, weighing less than three pounds and can run on four AAA batteries. It has an easy carry handle and can go virtually anywhere your iPod/iPhone can go.
The RDP-M5iP is a convenient device as well. The Apple 30-pin digital dock interface charges your iPod/iPhone while it's hooked-up and the RDP-M5iP is compatible with several iPod models. For iPhone compatibility, Sony includes three Universal Dock Adapters for the iPhone, iPhone 3G/3GS and iPhone 4. As an added measure of convenience, the RDP-M5iP comes with a full-function Remote Commander, which affords wireless control of your iPod/iPhone from across the room. It also has an LED indicator for the Power On/Off display.

This device really surprised me with it sound performance quality and sleek looks. It fills a void in my sound equipment needs. Light weight enough to pack for a weekend trip and bring soft sounds for an intimate gathering. Would be a dream device if it had a rechargeable internal battery.

Very well made product easy to use. It is portable and nice to carry around for music on the move. The sound is good and loud enough for household use. The remote controls all aspects of the ipod. I can`t fault it.

Basically the dock works really good, portability is what I was looking for,style and sound quality is good for the size. Maybe a little less distortion when higher volume level are used is the only issue I found on this dock, besides that everything else is fine.
The price at B&H was the best in NY.

Top Quality Sony iPod/iPhone Mini Boom Box for moving around in the home or shop. Excellent sound quality and volume for home interior. Not outdoor size or weather-proof Ghetto-Jammer. Love plug-in power supply and 10 hour 4-AA Battery supply. Perfect handle location! I can't find any negatives.
