Comments about Metz mecablitz 36AF-5 Digital Flash for Olympus / Panasonic / Leica Camera:
Good size and power for a compact camera, I'm using it on an EPL-2 and it's fine so far. It's annoying to have to remove the EVF, tho.
I agree with the complaints and warnings about the battery cover. And what's up with that locking thingie on the hot shoe?

Provides ample additional lighting; better than on-board flash. Adds professional look to photos. Great bounce capability.

Comments about Metz mecablitz 36AF-5 Digital Flash for Olympus / Panasonic / Leica Camera:
Used with Panasonic FZ-150. Metz website listed this unit as compatible. The good news is that exposures are top rate and flash is easy to use. Also I purchased it on sale for a very reasonable price. Infrared focusing assist on the flash unit does not work. Fortunately the assist built into the camera does. The battery cover is flimsy and difficult to open. I anticipate it will break before too long. (In fact the 1st unit I received had a defective battery cover. I contacted Metz and they told me to return it for another. B&H customer service was very accomodating) All in all I am pleased with the purchase for the price, but next time would spend a few more dollar for a better product.

Comments about Metz mecablitz 36AF-5 Digital Flash for Olympus / Panasonic / Leica Camera:
Works great with my Panasonic Lumix G2. Because it is my first flash and just recieved it, I cannot comment on this product much, but it seems to recharge fast (1-2 sec.). I agree with the negative comments about the battery compartment. Just be careful with it and secure it tightly. I do wish it had a metal mount too, it's plastic. Fires evertime.
Only 4 stars because of the battery cover.

I bought my first Metz Flash in 1965 and since that year I had different Metz models, using it in long shooting situations like weddings, all kinds of celebrations and never had any problems.

Comments about Metz mecablitz 36AF-5 Digital Flash for Olympus / Panasonic / Leica Camera:
I got this flash to use on a GH2 and like the way it integrates into the camera very well. Is a nice compact flash that does not make the GH2 top heavy. Works much better than the built-in flash of the camera.
