This is a PAL camera. It is not compatible with USA/NTSC TV systems.
The Sony HDR-CX560E HD Flash Memory PAL Camcorder is a full 1080/50p HD cam designed to take your recording beyond the norm. On top of the 26 hours of HD storage afforded by its 64GB internal flash memory, the CX560E includes Sony's Cinematone presets and 25p recording, which give your video a film-like look and feel.
The CX560E offers an impressive lineup of core features, from the wide angle G lens and Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, to the 3.0" touch panel LCD with TruBlack technology for higher contrast. There's also a 14x extended zoom to help you get closer to the action while maintaining image integrity.
Sony also gave the CX560E some high-class audio features. The built-in 5.1 channel surround sound microphone, for instance, helps capture all encompassing sound without an external mic. And should you want to use an external mic, the camera has both a stereo mini microphone and headphone connection. Other audio features include wind noise reduction and Clear Phase stereo speakers.
The CX560E's numerous shooting controls are designed to make your recording experience an easier one. And while there are a number of ways to make your video your own, when you want to stop worrying about camera settings and simply hit Record, features like Intelligent Auto let you do just that--without compromising image quality.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX560E HD Flash Memory PAL Camcorder:
This is the third such camera I've bought - this on the back of two SONY HR11 cameras which I use primarily for recording live theatre productions. I import the footage into FinalCut Studio and using the multi-clip editing function, editing is a breeze. The final destination currently is DVD.
This CX560E, the PAL version, is a wonderful step up from the HR11, largely because of the the progressive mode which is now available after the interlaced-only mode of the HR11. I love the filmic effect of the 1080p mode and find it a close second to my SONY PMW EX1 in that respect. But what sets it apart from the EX1 is its size. It's small. It's light. It's a very big camera in a very small body. Every single thing from recording in the dark in infra-red mode, recording in a dark theatre lit by only two ultra-violet neon tubes, to the effects created by bright theatre lighting - this little fellow handles them with panache. It's size allows it to be a superb camera for tourism. Sure, in low light, the image becomes grainy, but what digital camera doesn't?
Not my reason for buying this camera but a great by-product is that progressive mode allows for selected screen-grabs to be used as good (not high nor brilliant) still photos in the absence of a still camera. And when still shots are not available, "good" is pretty useful.
I am currently preparing a high-quality eBook with dozens of beautiful still photographs and I will probably use this camera for capturing moving imagery as I think its quality is more than adequate for this purpose. Certainly its size will make travelling a lot easier than with an EX1. I loved the HR11 and this is like two HR11s packed one. Awesome! At the price, I'll have a dozen.

Comments about Sony HDR-CX560E HD Flash Memory PAL Camcorder:
Great camera with a progressive 1080. The most wide-angle lens cameras of all household exempt from buying a wide-angle nozzles, the most "sighted" matrix among consumer cameras can actually shoot indoors or in conditions not sufficient light virtually noiseless image. For me it was the major important criteria in choosing among cameras in this class. Strengths:
Progressive 1080 50p is possible to select the desired bit rate, but only in the interlace, Wide 26.3 mm Memory 64GB Flash Sensitive Microphone 5.1 Decent picture-in condition is not sufficient lighting. Active stabilizer, can charge from USB Compact and lightweight. Deficiencies have not yet identified
