Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Nikon D7000
The Vello Glass LCD Screen Protector for Nikon D7000 is a sheet of 0.02" (0.5mm) ultra-thin optical glass used to protect your camera's LCD monitor. The glass features 6 layers of protective material that protect your display screen from dirt, scratches, sweat and oily fingerprints. The glass also blocks UV rays while allowing visible light in. The protector is easy to install and remove.
Note! Environments with excessive heat and humidity will shorten the useful life of the adhesive on the glass.

I purchased this protector as a replacement for Nikon's based on some reviews and info contained in David Busch's D7000 Guide. The crystal clear optical glass is certainly an improvement over the OEM plastic in clarity and anti-fogging. The package also comes with a protector for the smaller control panel on top of the camera. I'm not sure that's as much of a necessity but I gave it a try. If I decide to remove it by blow dryer, I'll update the review with the results.
The most difficult part for me was getting an exact fit since you only get one chance when it is lowered into place and my close up eye focusing is not what it used to be.
By locating one edge and slowly rotating it part way, I managed to pull it off without breaking the glass for a retry, which I then managed to fit perfectly. Aligning the much smaller top protector was a more delicate operation because of the tighter space and fingers getting in the way.
All-in-all, an excellent product that really makes a difference. I would say that application difficulties are user-specific so those with steady hands and good eye focusing should have no problems in that regard.

I used to keep the plastic cover over my lcd screen to protect it. My camera is with me everywhere I go. When shooting I would remove the cover and get make up smudges all over the screen. Then I would worry about cleaning it correctly without damaging it. With the Glass Protector in place I don't worry any longer.
It fits well. I have managed to cut myself with it on the finger. (But I can be a little clumsy.) It's glass, it's thin and it can be sharp. I am more careful cleaning it now. Still, for me I don't know how I managed without one for so long.
I did not use the one for the top lcd. I did not find that necessary. I also cannot comment on removal. So long as I don't manage to break it, it will be on the camera for good.

Absolutely perfect design. Looks incredible and the screen is soooo much brighter than with the OEM plastic cover. Great protection and beautiful. Also offers protection for the top LCD screen. You won't be disappointed.

My LCD screen was constantly being plagued with finger smudges and worse. I was also worried that I would scratch the screen somehow. The LCD glass screen protector was the answer. The protector was installed easily and matched the LCD screen of my Nikon D7000 exactly. Without reservation I recommend this product.

I replaced the standard plastic screen cover with this one, and it is definitely better. This cover is much thinner, clearer, and easy to clean, plus, being glass it should last a lot longer without being scratched.
I haven't needed to remove it, so I don't yet know how easy the blow-dryer removal process is, so I cannot provide any input as to that.
