The CineDeck EX Kit with Anton Bauer Battery Mount is a camera-mountable, upgradeable video recorder (HD/2K) used by cinematographers. It is compatible with HDMI/HD-SDI/LAN and legacy cameras that have high-quality sensors but low-quality media recorders (DV, HDV, and DVCPRO-HD). The captured videos can be edited directly without ingestion and transcoding using editing software such as Apple Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer V5.0, and Adobe Premier Pro.
Equipped with a standard removable 2.5" laptop form factor SSD recording media, the EX Kit with Anton Bauer Battery Mount records to uncompressed HD (4:4 or 4:2:2), Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD, and CineForm Digital Intermediate files in MOV format via HDMI and single/dual HD-SD link. Provided with solid state recording media, wide ambient temperature stability, and temperature controlled cooling, the recorder is ideal for helicopters, off-road vehicles, and hand-held Steadicam systems.
The EX Kit with Anton Bauer Battery Mount has a built-in 7" standard monitor that allows record settings and playback transport via a touch screen interface. It enables you to monitor the video being recorded via onscreen features such as edge focus, clipping, waveform, scopes, and histogram. While monitoring the different audio inputs via onboard headphone jack, you can simultaneously view the on-screen recording level display.
With onscreen transport controls, you can easily play back videos. By up converting or down converting video resolutions and frame rate, the recorder offers high-quality images. A compact size (5 x 8 x 3.5" / 12.7 x 20.3 x 7.6 cm) and a built-in Anton Bauer battery mount make the EX Kit with Anton Bauer Battery Mount easily portable.
