Take your home theater experience to the next level with the flagship Panasonic DMP-BDT310 Full HD 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Black). Feature-rich and built to wow, this showpiece is more than a Blu-ray player. While it pairs seamlessly with any HDTV, it also features Skype video calling, online streaming, support for interactive movie extras, and it even lets you kick back and use your iPhone as a remote control.
Of course, you can rely on the DMP-BDT310 to deliver stunning high resolution images in full HD 1080p as well as 3D content to create an immersive, wraparound experience in your own living room. Whether it's the latest Blockbuster hit on Blu-ray or a classic film on DVD, this disc player is capable of providing rich, vivid images fine tuned with Panasonic's PHL processing. And to give you the full cinematic experience, it supports several high resolution audio formats from Dolby and DTS so you can enjoy a detailed sound field whether you have a surround sound system or just two speakers.
But, so much of the features that sweeten the deal with this disc player happen when you connect it to your home internet connection (no adapter needed -- it has built-in Wi-Fi). You can transform your living room into a gateway for entertainment from the internet with online streaming, which opens up a gamut of additional content right at your fingertips. With Panasonic's VIERA Cast, you can access content from Netflix, CinemaNow, VUDU and more (some services are subscription-based). You can also take advantage of movie extras like exclusive filmmaker chats, quizzes and previews since this disc player supports BD Live -- and with BONUSVIEW, you can use the picture-in-picture display to watch entertainment simultaneously, with one displayed in a smaller window.
However, one of the DMP-BDT310's biggest boasts is that it has twin HDMI outputs for audio and video. This means you can hook it up to a legacy A/V receiver and still enjoy 3D video with HD audio soundtracks simultaneously, even if your receiver lacks HDMI 1.4 ports. And with a futuristic touch-free sensor, a simple wave of your hand over the disc player opens and closes the disc tray, without touching any buttons!

I was torn buying this product/brand, as I have a Panasonic DVD Recorder that I have been less than pleased with. But I wanted something that played my high-def videos off my SD card from my Canon camcorder, had built-in wifi, and was quicker to load up DVDs than the Panasonic DVDR I've been using. And this seemed to be one of the few units out there that fit my requirements.
I can honestly say I've never been so happy to be wrong about a product - I love this player. It loads soooo quick, plays high-def videos directly off the SD card flawlessly, and streams Pandora... what more can I ask for?
I originally thought the "wave your hand over the top to open the tray" feature was kind of silly, but my wife and I both love that feature. Go figure.
My only complaint - and the reason this only gets 4 stars - is that the LED display flickers when the display brightness is set to anything but "auto". If I'd wanted the "bright" mode, I'd be irritated and it'd be returned as defective, but since I want the "auto" mode anyway, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle of returning it.
Oh... and picture/sound quality is excellent, but I think that's pretty much a given with most of the mainstream blu-rays now days.

Nice picture and sound, but so noisey!!
Would be a 5 star player if it wasn't for how noisey this player is. It has greta picture and sound, and the features are awsome. Sadly though noise ruins the party.

I can hear the drive working from my lounge 20 feet away, and its even worse when skipping chapters etc.
I would say in their effort to make this player as thin as possible, quality has suffered. My other panasonic 3d player that is 12 months old is much larger, but very quiet.

This player is amazing. Not only for it's ability to play back media, but if you have wireless, you'll have a ball. Movies, music, the works. Wouldn't trade it for anything. Only one con. If your wireless is password protected, you have to re-enter it after turning unit off and then back on. Not a big deal.

Comments about Panasonic DMP-BDT310 Full HD 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Black):
So far no issues. I replaced a first generation Blu-ray player with this unit and what a difference. This player loads very fast and reads many formats. There are many features as well, although I haven't used most of them yet. There are several players out there that are more expensive with less features, and I can't imagine that they perform any better than this player. Great value.

Comments about Panasonic DMP-BDT310 Full HD 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Black):
I purchased this primarily to play my AVCHD DVDS which were burned from several different camera sources. Pictures were crisp, sharp and excellent. Eliminates need to convert formats which is cumbersome and painful. I then purchased some blu-ray discs and this machine works great---good value. PS It was listed on several sites as the blu-ray to buy when playing burned discs from AVCHD. Very happy.

Comments about Panasonic DMP-BDT310 Full HD 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Black):
This box recognizes the DVD quickly and you don't suffer lag time. It has 2 HDMI slots so you can run the video directly to your TV and still utilize your amazing sound system by running HDMI to your AVR (if you have one, I do!) Remarkably,it can not only upscale, but it can turn 2D to 3D. This makes me want to watch my 400 movies all over again in the new format. True 3D is remarkable, and even 2D to 3D is great. My impression is on 2d to 3D, the background is pushed further back creating a sense of distance. Whereas true 3D, many things pop out forward. Just my take. Pricing on this unit is amazing. Up-scaling, 3D,too many bells and whistles to mention. Buy this puppy and be happy!

Player installed easily and works well. Connected to home WiFi network as well. Video can be streamed from selected vendors only. That is, you cannot watch video from any vendor, just the ones selected by Panasonic. That restriction is my only complaint.

This is my 2nd Panasonic BD player. I hooked this player up to a 70" 3D set. It is simply amazing.
The reason I bought this particular model is it has a second HDMI output called "Sub HDMI out" which sends the new audio codecs to AV receivers. It works perfectly.

The dual HDMI was my solution for getting 3D output to work with my current audio receiver. The setup was extremely easy and the price was excellent. B&H is extremely quick at shipping even all the way up in Canada!

I've had several different Blu Ray players, all of which have failed for one reason or another. I just got the DMP-BDT310 and hooked it up this weekend, connection was a snap! Went right out and rented a Blu Ray movie and put it to the test. The picture as well as sound quality was outstanding! At this point I see no downside to this unit, and am happy that I finally received a product that more than met my expectations!

It is currently setup on my 1080p LG 42" LCD TV and the picture is a lot better than my PS3 at 1080p.I just received the 3d-xl and one pair of 3D glasses. The Optoma HD 66 will be here in a day. Once the projector is here, this unit will be used for that setup.[...]

Comments about Panasonic DMP-BDT310 Full HD 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Black):
I bought this player because my receiver does not pass 3d. I needed the dual hdmi outs. One goes to the receiver for the hd audio and the other goes straight to the tv for video. The player works great. Panasonic could offer more internet content though. I am a big Yankees fan and I subscribe to MLB. Panasonic does not offer MLB in there content list. I can still stream it through the tv but it would be nice to stream through the blu ray player so I could run the sound through my system. Otherwise the sd card reader will read pictures taken in 3d as well as standard pictures and movies shot in hd or sd. The picture quality is great and the quality of the blu ray movies in 3d and 2d is superb! I would recommend this player to anyone who is looking to enhance their blu ray experience!

I have a surround sound system that does not have 3D pass through. I bought the BDT-310 because it has twin HDMI and will allow 3D pass through. Works perfectly and the picture and sound is incredible. Plus you can send in a rebate for a copy of Avatar 3D. Best deal on the market.
