The PJD5123 Portable SVGA DLP Projector from Viewsonic is a high-performance unit designed to support up to 120Hz frame rate through the 3D DLP Link. The DLP imaging chip is so fast, it is able to project two images on the screen at one time to create the 3D image viewed through the active glasses. But, in addition to the two images on the screen, the DLP chip also sends additional data to the glasses in-between each frame of video. This is how the projector communicates with the DLP link enabled active glasses.
The PJD5123 accommodates installations from permanent ceiling-mounted to simple desk-mounted use. Weighing in at 5.7 lb (2.6 kg), the projector is a great travel mate and ideal for the mobile user. With 2,700 ANSI lumens of brightness and technology like BrilliantColor, the PJD5123 delivers stunning all-digital clarity with life-like color, sharp graphics and outstanding video, whether in the classroom or the boardroom. The sophisticated 6-segment color (RGBCYW) wheel provides greater color accuracy than standard DLP projectors with a 4-segment color wheel, improving the perceived sharpness, brightness and contrast of projected images, and adding a sense of remarkable depth. The digital keystone adjustment feature takes the guess work out of adjusting your image, while the projector's wide connectivity makes it easy to maximize multimedia equipment to meet your presentation needs.
The native 4:3 aspect ratio is easily switched to 16:9 or 16:10 formats for HD content or widescreen laptops.

I use this projector for Powerpoint presentations and have found it to everything that I expecdted. It is sharp with good contrast and my students don't have any problem viewing what is on the screen. The results, coupled with a low cost make this an excellent choice.

This is a good projector. We use it for our PowerPoint presentations and it does an excellent job. It is quiet and bright enough in our well lit room, even in eco mode.

Comments about Viewsonic PJD5123 Portable SVGA DLP Projector:
We have a computer users group that meets every 2 weeks and have 30 to 40 members attend. Our old projector only had 1100 lumens and people in the back of the room were complaining that they could not read the image of the Pc monitor being protected on a 6' screen. The new Viewsonic has a brightness of 2700 lumens and displays a sharp bright image with very dark blacks and is very easy to read from any place in the room. It really is a great projector at a reasonable price. Our club paid almost $1000 for our old projector 10 years ago.

I bought five of these projectors, three of them in previous times. I like it because is lightweight and the lumens are enough for my purpose. I use them for trainings and other reunions in my church.

I use this to project movies on my wall so I can watch from my bed. my only complaint is that sometimes skin tones look a little funny in weird lighting. Over all though it is super convenient and starts quickly.

Comments about Viewsonic PJD5123 Portable SVGA DLP Projector:
My family is limited as most families this year are, but I wanted to give the kids a "WOW" for Christmas. I waited until the kids were not home and hooked up this projector and WOW! Crystal clear picture at 100" EASY. So, I shot the picture down the walkway of the house. We had a crisp picture from floor to ceiling! We are going to have this for the PS3 and for outside movie/ bonfire night. I HIGHLY recommend this over a regular TV. In fact, we may move our 60" to the bedroom and get a projector for the living room now.

Comments about Viewsonic PJD5123 Portable SVGA DLP Projector:
travel powerpoint presentations. wanted future ability to incorporate movies.
picture quality is fantastic.
Ease of use - would be tough to mess it up.
Although projection is crooked. the view is lopsided. I would consider returning it, but I already threw out the box. When I originally set it up, I assumed it was the screen or the table, but then (after I threw out the box) I discovered that there was something crooked. It needs about 1/4" under the one side. I will find the duct tape and expertly apply.
It was also a larger unit then I envisioned. I was going by weight when I picked it... It is very light, but about twice as large as our last projector.
Value was fantastic.

Comments about Viewsonic PJD5123 Portable SVGA DLP Projector:
We had been making due with a rather old LCD projector and I guess we got use to the bad quality of the picture it projected. I couldn't believe my eyes when we plugged this in and saw a crisp, bright, clear picture! The children in our class even commented on the difference! It's also very easy to operate, which is huge when preoccupied with children, etc.

Great projector for the price. Works well in our small conference room- seats about 8. Image is not clear if resolution is set above 800x600. It does not come with a case- must purchase separately.
