The iHome iH16 Travel Alarm Clock for iPod (Purple) combines a portable iPod dock speaker system and alarm clock in one compact and attractive unit. The universal iPod dock features a double-sided iPod insert that facilitates most dockable iPods. The dock plays and charges when the iH16 is connected to the AC adapter. If you're traveling and relying on four AA batteries as a power supply, the dock will only play your iPod. The alarm clock and clock feature allow you to sleep and wake with your iPod and can display time in either 12 or 24 hr mode. Plus, the batteries work as an alarm back-up in case the power goes out in the night.
Stylish and portable, the iH16 also features an auxiliary jack for playing music from your computer, CD player, alternate MP3 player or any other audio device that has a line-out jack. The specially designed high-end drivers are housed in iHome's Reson8 Speaker Chambers, which deliver authentic sound with a real depth and power. This is the alarm clock and stereo system for my oldest daughter. The color looks great and the lines are perfect for her minimalist room. She likes the sound and it leaves her lots of room on her nightstand to pile all her other stuff!
