The APC Power-Saving Back-UPS Pro 1500, 230V is an excellent and sophisticated means of offering power protection for your high-performance computer system, routers, modems, external storage devices, game consoles and other electronics. The unit has ten surge-protected power outlets for connecting separate devices. Five of these outlets are surge protected only, the other five are also protected by an included battery that will continue to power any connect devices when the utility power is out.* Of the battery-supported outlets, one is a Master outlet, perfect for connecting your main system device such as a computer. Once connected to the Master outlet, you can control the power for up to three different peripheral devices connected to the surge-protected outlets and save power in the process. That means, when your computer is in sleep mode or shut off, those three connected devices -such as printers, fax machines, or scanners - will also be off. In addition to battery and surge-protected outlets, this unit features protected input/output Ethernet jacks as well as protected input/output phone jacks.
Among the many advanced features this unit boasts, it can automatically correct low and high voltage conditions without using the battery so you can use the unit in a wider variety of applications. It also allows you to adjust the voltage sensitivity so you can tailor the unit to specific power environments or generator applications. Plus, as a safeguard, the unit sounds audible alarms that will let you know if you're running on the battery, when your battery power is low, or when you're receiving an overload of power.
Because the unit is also outfitted with a Serial and USB interface, you can manage it with the included APC PowerChute Personal Edition Software. With the software, the unit will automatically save files and shutdown your computer in the event of a power failure. This device is for use with 230V power outlets, such as commonly found outside of the United States.
Note! *The runtime of the battery depends on the power used by the devices connected to the battery-supported outlets
