Fujifilm AR-X100 Adapter Ring for the X100 Camera (Silver)
The silver AR-X100 Adapter Ring from Fuji is for the X100 camera. This metal adapter ring replaces the lens ring that comes with the camera and bayonet mounts with the lens hood. In addition to bayoneting with the hood, it can also be used for mounting 49mm filters.

I recommend the JJC version of the hood. This could've at least come with a filter.

The adapter does work well as an adapter. The only downside is that for some reason it interferes with the flash. It causes a minor shadow to surface on the left lower part of a picture. The shadow is thin and barley noticeable. I took a series of pictures with flash and with and without adapter ring and determined that the ring is the root cause of the minor shadow.

I couldn't imagine going the cheap route with such an important accessory for the worlds best camera. The ring is very sturdy, all metal. Threading is perfect.

Well made. Gets the job done. Needed if one wants to add a lens filter for lens protection. Expensive but there is no alternative.

I bought this so I could put on a filter and protect my lens. It is over priced but it is far cheaper than having to replace my camera because I screwed up the lens.

Works well for photos (flare prevention) but cumbersome when using. Needs to be removed to place lens cap. Could have been better designed. There is a cheap chinese knock off being sold via [...], but it is of very low quality (shade fits too loosely on adaptor).
