iHome iA17 Color Changing Stereo FM Alarm Clock Radio for iPhone / iPod
The contemporary style of the iHome iA17 Color Changing Stereo FM Alarm Clock Radio for iPhone / iPod is sure to brighten up any room. The universal dock works with the 1st generation iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and all docking iPod models. It also provides a charge while you listen to your music or when an iPhone / iPod is docked. The alarm clock can wake you with music from your iPhone, docking iPod model or FM radio with six station presets. Plus, the alarm supports the free iHome+Sleep app and paid iHome+Radio app.
The iA17 also features GlowTunes, which provides the translucent white cabinet with a blue, purple, orange or green glow. The digital LCD clock display switches between those four colors as well. The colored lights also have five different display modes: Slow Fade, Favorite Color, Pulse to Music, Fast Change and Color Off. To bring the music to life, the iA17 uses a Reson8 speaker system with passive subwoofer. The resulting big stereo sound, clarity, depth and power are surprising coming from such a small unit.
Ensuring that the iA17 is both flexible and convenient, iHome added an aux line-in for connecting other audio devices, a Daylight Saving Time switch and a Time Sync button that syncs the unit's clock with the always-current clock from an iPhone. iHome even includes a remote control, universal voltage AC adapter that's compatible with worldwide power requirements and a backup battery to keep the clock running if the device loses power for any reason.

- The universal iPhone / iPod dock on the iA17 works with the iPhone (1st generation, 3G, 3GS, 4) and the iPod (all docking models). It requires no dock inserts and charges your iPhone / iPod whenever it's docked, even while playing

You can even use the iHome+Radio app to listen and wake up to Internet Radio

- Daylight Saving Time Switch & Time Sync Button
- The iA17 features an automatic DST switch that eliminates any worries of missing the bi-yearly time changes. The Time Sync button lets you quickly sync the clock time with the always current and correct iPhone time
- Universal Voltage AC Adapter & Clock Backup Battery
- The iA17 comes with a 100 - 240 V universal voltage AC adapter that is compatible with worldwide power requirements. If the unit loses power for any reason, the iA17 has an included CR2032 backup battery that will keep the clock going, eliminating the pain of resetting the clock every time the device is unplugged

My old iHome died recently so I began the search for a new one. I came across this product and loved the price and features. The sound isn't huge but it works nicely for me and my apartment. A major draw for me was the color changing features. Overall, good purchase I'm happy with my choice.

We went to [...] [...] and [...] to find an alarm clock/speaker system for my daughter's ipod nano. No dice! Finally, we just ordered it online and found it to be the cheapest price @ B&H.Once we got it and set it up, we were impressed with the sound quality and my daughter loved the color changing feature. I also liked that it didn't take up too much room on her dresser.
