The AstroMaster AZ Tripod from Celestron is an alt-azimuth mount tripod with steel legs. It provides a stable platform for a camera, spotting scope, binocular, telescope optical tube, and other optical instruments. It has a quick and easy set up. It comes with an accessory tray and is extendable from 24 inches (61 cm) to 41 inches (104 cm) with 2 pole lockable legs. The up and down altitude is controlled by the pan handle. The side-to-side azimuth is controlled by the azimuth lock. The pan handle and the azimuth lock are both loosened by turning the handle and lock counterclockwise. A dovetail bracket with a 1/4x20 screw is included for attaching an optical instrument to the tripod.
