The Pro Tools + Mbox from Avid is a high-performance, 4 x 4 Pro Tools studio bundle for Mac and Windows. The company's third generation USB digital audio interface allows for recording, editing and mixing performances with the highest audio resolutions. With a comprehensive set of connectors, it's an easy matter to connect microphones, instruments, other analog, digital, and/or MIDI gear with a computer, and capture and create studio-quality productions.
Pro Tools 9 software now includes many features that were previously the purview of the more expensive Pro Tools HD systems. So glad that I have this soft ware! For professional recording it really is one or the best pieces to use.
Also, make sure you also have a really good pair of speakers. Talking a few $$$$.$$ to get the maximum performance and use out of the program for ou sound editing. I am investing in some now!

This Mbox is amazing for my purposes. I mainly do pre-production and I must say, the Mbox does not disappoint. Easy to set up and great quality on sound. Truly an amazing interface and coming from logic, I will never go back!! As for dealing with B&H, they have been so easy to deal with. Great customer staff and super fast shipping. Thanks.

The M Box and Pro-tools Studio Bundle are all you need to create great studio recordings. Clean vocals , instrumentals, Acoustic, direct, midi, it's all there. The phantom power feature works great with my Neumann U87. I really like the editing capabilities of protools software. It is very user friendly once you get the hang of it. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to do some serious recording.
