Same thing happened to me as the previous reviewer. Camera worked great for a few months but leaked the last time I had it in the surf and it never turned on again. The seals are a joke so beware.

Comments about General Electric DV1 1080p HD Digital Video Camera (Orange):
I gave this camcorder two Stars because even-though it failed miserably at being water proof, it's video quality and the fact that i was able to dry it out and retrieve the Movies redeemed it's easy failure. I never had this camcorder more than 3 feet below water and it leaked easily 3-4 times in a row. I assured the seals where clean and checked the seals but it still leaked 80% of the time.
I used it on a kayak trip to Choro island in Samara Costa Rica and never really gave it a good reason to leak.
Things that are great about it? The Video quality is outstanding, considering it's size.
Things that are bad about it? It leaks EASILY!
The only Reason I bought this camcorder was for underwater video.

Comments about General Electric DV1 1080p HD Digital Video Camera (Orange):
No problems, I've used it underwater, above water and it performs as expected. The video quality is good, but even if these cameras are labeled Full 1080p HD, keep in mind none of them produce images as good as a real video camera. They're convenient, small, so you know, you pay for it with a lesser video quality. It's good, just not great.

Comments about General Electric DV1 1080p HD Digital Video Camera (Orange):
amazing camera. only use in 1080p though. 720 isnt as clear as it should be but has good slow motion. love to use underwater cuz no one else can compare to those vids. pictures arent bad either. overall this is worth more than the money and is perfect for putting in your pcoket to go someplace to take some HD vids but dont wanna carry a big bag or anything. im inlove with this camera and its best feature is the built in usb drive.
