Given his reputation, it's not surprising that the kit is based on a pair of 500 W/s Elinchrom Style BX 500 Ri Compact Monolights which feature a 5 stop range, digital readout, short flash duration and recycling times as short as 0.34 seconds. Better yet they're wireless; an EL Skyport receiver is now built-in, meaning not only remote, wireless triggering regardless of obstructions, at distances up to 394 feet, but also powering up and down or on and off with complete control of the modeling light. Just add an optional EL SPEED Transmitter to control them.

Since Kelby is a master with Photoshop tools, this kit is loaded with light-shaping tools to make post-production easier. For those who like their light soft, a 5’ Creative Light Octa Softbox is included, an ideal source for portraiture. A Creative Light 1 x 3’ Strip Softbox is on board for a hair, edge or sidelight. The provided Interfit 15.5” Beauty Dish throws a broad beam like an umbrella but highlights fine detail such as hair and makeup on a model. Not enough options? OK, throw in 2 rapid-set up Elinchrom Portalite 26 x 26” Softboxes; perfect for quick headshots or product work. Both mount directly to the heads without an additional speed ring.
