Manfrotto ML240 Mini-24 LED Panel
The Manfrotto ML240 Mini-24 LED Panel is a LED light that attaches to your DSLR, Micro Four Thirds, or other compact camera, for shooting video under 5600K daylight. The Mini light features a flash attachment at the bottom to attach it to the hot shoe of your camera.
The ultra-compact light features a dimmer with icons that illustrate common conditions, granting full control over illumination from 0-100%. Stackable atop the Manfrotto Midi, Midi Plus, and Maxima lights, the Mini can be used as an additional light in a larger system.
The ML240 Mini features a 3200K backlight on the bottom-right side of the case for illuminating camera controls under dark operating conditions. The main light's brightness is rated 200 lux at 3.3' (1 m). The Mini runs on AAA batteries.

I used this panel with my recently purchased nikon 1 V1 camera. It's small enough to atach to the flash hot shot (with nikon adapter) or attach a small L shape bracket to the tripod hole on the bottom of the camera to preserve a small,light,and compact camera and lighting system.The panel is very bright and great for torso portraits as well as fill in light without the burst of light that blinds you from a portable flash. Also hand held lighting off camera is the panels greatest feature.As I position the light on my subject while viewing my picture on the the live view 3 inch lcd screen , my images are more dramatic and life like. My short movies have great color.The variable light output knob works well.The only wish list I have to make this product better is that a light difuser be included with price of this unit.

I'm a big fan of Manfrotto, lots of hardware here in the studio. Just a bit disappointed, but I've decided to keep this unit.
It's very small, lightweight(2 - AAA batteries).The knob is on/off and intensity, works well. It's light enough, that I can mount this on a video camcorder when using my Steadicam and balance it out quickly.
A few negatives - it's very little light, but can be helpful in very low light situations. It has a magenta cast to it. Looking at the LEDs, you can actually see that most are close to neutral, then about 6 LEDs have a significant magenta color. I can add a 1/8 Plusgreen Rosco Cinegel to get it close to it's advertised "Daylight" balanced color, though this knocks down the output some. I wonder why the panel behind the LEDs is black instead of white. Seems that would help light output some.
So I can recommend this unit, having shared it's shortcomings.
