The Redrock Micro DSLR Mini Tripod Platform is an accessory used to attach handheld DSLR rigs such as Captain Stubling, UltraPort, theEvent, etc. to a tripod, and allows you to quickly switch between tripod and handheld setups. It can be mounted to the bottom of the DSLR baseplate, thereby replacing the bottom plate. A mini cheeseplate (not included) with 1/4" and 3/8" mounting holes can be attached to the Tripod Platform for mounting additional accessories.

Comments about Redrock Micro DSLR Mini Tripod Platform:
Bought this for my captain stumbling handheld rig. I could not be happier. It's small, lightweight enough to leave on my rig, and has the perfect mini cheese plate to attach to a manfrotto straight plate with two or three screws.

Comments about Redrock Micro DSLR Mini Tripod Platform:
Makes the dslr mount way more useful, and allows you to go directly onto a tripod when using a smaller rig setup.
Pros:
-It's solid and is easy to put on.
-Totally worth it's value, it's a much cheaper and lighter alternative to a cheese plate.
Cons:
Lighter than a cheese plate but has a larger profile, sticking out slightly further.
