The DMW-MCFT3 Underwater Housing for Lumix DMC-TS3 Camera from Panasonic is a polycarbonate housing for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3 camera. It enables you to shoot underwater with your camera to a depth of 130' (40 m). The housing provides virtually full access to the camera controls. A buckle clicks into the locked position to let you know that the housing is secure around your camera. The case comes with a hand strap and an intra-lens ghost-reducing seal, which reduces the occurrence of flare and ghosting due to strong backlight. The housing has an Underwater Mode that automatically optimizes the exposure and colors when shooting underwater, helping you replace some of the reds and more natural tones that are generally lost underwater. Since the camera already has a Leica 4.6x Wide-Angle 28-128 mm zoom lens, you can get close to your subject and reduce distance, water and distortion to give your images the highest possible quality.

Comments about Panasonic DMW-MCFT3 Underwater Housing for Lumix DMC-TS3 Camera:
I took my housing out for the first time on the weekend. Preformed great, all of the functions of the camera were still easily used and the shots it took were great. Only went to 18M but plan on heading deeper this weekend to see how it will cope.

Comments about Panasonic DMW-MCFT3 Underwater Housing for Lumix DMC-TS3 Camera:
I've used many film and digital camera models in underwater housings. The TS3's functions and settings are easy to change above or u/w. Use of the housing and its camera function controls for depths greater than 40' are also easy to use. The video screen is large enough to see your target and review your results. My primary use for the TS3 alone is for SCUBA training in the pool and Open Water checkouts so its portability is a huge plus. When using the housing I find it to be easy to manage and control; taking quick and multiple shots with auto features provide better than expected results, especially during a drift dive in Cozumel where life happens quickly. The internal flash and housing diffuser do not hinder the user or quaility of the captured images. Whether you are a beginner or seasoned photographer you will find acceptance with this housing and TS3 camera.
Keeping the housing O'ring clean and dry during camera installations is no more challenging than others and employs a simple latch and lock mechanism. Keep it clean and dry is your responsibility, not the manufacture's.
Don't even get me started on how good the full HD video features are...for the size and price - an excellent choice. I'm just say'n.

Comments about Panasonic DMW-MCFT3 Underwater Housing for Lumix DMC-TS3 Camera:
This was a great purchase. The camera just slip in and ready to shot. This was the first time I bought a marine case and used a camera (my camera) underwater. It was terrific and got some great shots first time up. Read the instructions first by all means...and by all means take due care, but they were obviously written by laywers wanting to protect the Panasonic from the sky falling down.

Comments about Panasonic DMW-MCFT3 Underwater Housing for Lumix DMC-TS3 Camera:
The only issue I have is they have made it very difficult to connect a fiber optic cable for external flash. They have put a fitting on the front for connection to an Inon flash, but if you already have a flash that fitting interferes with adding a Velcro connection for the fiber optic. I have been unable to find an adapter that fits their fitting.

Comments about Panasonic DMW-MCFT3 Underwater Housing for Lumix DMC-TS3 Camera:
Bought this essentially to go diving with my PANASONIC DMC-TS3. It is working well, all the camera controls are easily accessible. Because of the camera design, the back of the housing (Where the LCD screen is) is a bit crowded with buttons and it can be a an issue with gloves. The shutter release button is well positioned on top of the housing and is bigger which is good to avoid confusion underwater. The flash diffuser is OK but it's probably best using a separate strobe for better results.
Overall a perfect match to the PANASONIC DMC-TS3 camera, it increase the possibilities of this camera and make it a very versatile image capturing device.

Comments about Panasonic DMW-MCFT3 Underwater Housing for Lumix DMC-TS3 Camera:
I've tested this in fresh water and up to 18m of salt water - no problems and great photo quality. Every button on the waterproof case lines up perfectly with the internal camera (the Lumix FT3). It's solid construction and looks durable thus far. I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to take some diving shots.
